Should we target a trophy next season?

Obviously staying up is the main priority, but I’d absolutely love us to go for a trophy and take them both seriously. Being a prem side with some big signings so far, there’s absolute no reason why with a bit of luck in the draw we can’t compete.

Obviously the FA cup would be preferable, but would settle for the Mickey Mouse trophy instead. All the big teams chucked it last season, so there’s definitely an opportunity to be had there.

No, survival first and foremost. Let’s not get of ourselves.

We need to build a competitive PL squad before even thinking about the cup competitions.

Settle down

Careful you'll get mocked and accused of maggery for daring to be optimistic on here. I said we could win the league or a cup first season back the other week, if we sign 8-9 good players, and people were incredulous. Now we've signed a few people are starting to believe and I don't look so stupid anymore.

Na, you still look stupid for saying we can win the league this season like.

There's nothing wrong with having realistic targets, which is clearly staying up this season. If we finish comfortably away from the relegation spots, then that would be superb given other clubs recent history after gaining gaining promotion and being relegated the season after.
