League Cup Final ticket sale phases was contentious regarding general sale. Sales of tickets ended immediately after Phase 3. I thought it extremely unlikely that that tickets would run out exactly at that point and wondered what happened to the rest of the tickets. I asked Chris Waters how many SC holders we had. I was told SC sales was commercially sensitive information. Now they are proudly telling us how many SC holders we have. Yes I had a SC and had my Wembley ticket but it still rankles that the club handled the sales so badly. Rant over.

8 years and you're still seething. I love a grudge with longevity.

They allowed businesses who had boxes/ bought corporate at gigs etc buy them. The company I worked for got about 150 I think, I managed to get 6 and gave them to lads who had moved abroad/didn't have season tickets but went to matches still. They were all £40 tickets in the top tier.

I'm not seething and 8 years isn't longevity, watching Sunderland for 60+ years is longevity. I had my ticket but it was a disgraceful episode with the club hiding SC numbers to justify the failure of their sales policy. Plenty still remember it. See post #1290.

"disgraceful" but you're "not seething"

No. Angry at the time but pleased the club is more open now. The Johnny Crossan saga was disgraceful (from a different perspective) as was Cowie's tenure. I remember them well but I'm not seething. If you let things slip by good on you. I'll defend my position but won't criticise yours.

Thank you for confirming your longevity credentials (again)
