just had this from the ticket office, moved us into a different part of the ground without so much as are these seats ok:

Hello

Thank you for purchasing season tickets for the upcoming 22/23 season.

Unfortunately I have had to relocate your seats to XXXXXX the seats you purchased were released in error and the supporters has held these seats for a long time. This has only just been brought to our attention so apologies for just letting you know now.

Decent communication for a change, bit of a fuck up on the releasing of seats but dealt with.

Disagree. Should be a phone call and pick new seats instead of being relocated yourself, you could have wanted aisle seats etc for a reason.

Shambles really.

We were on the opposite end of this. Five of us sit together and have done for years. One of the lads - who pays on the DD scheme - "did nothing", as the Club tell you to do, if you want to automatically renew on the DD scheme. Then he emails the club a fortnight ago, asking where his renewal confirmation is, only to be told that they released his seat in error and it's been bought by someone else.

That seat was in the middle of the five, so we all kicked up a stink. To be fair to Chris Waters, he sorted it out for us quickly and the person concerned was moved to a different seat/our mate got his seat back. Sounds like there are more widespread problems of this type though.

I would definitely recommend that anyone who renews by the DD scheme, just double-check to make sure your renewal went through.

They don't post out until 1 to 2 weeks before home game, as if they posted them out weeks ago many will be lost and need other one
I’m not too worried but a few years back I had match tickets cancelled because of an NE postcode.

I’ve bought match tickets this year so hopefully no dramas, just that I’ve promised the season cards to mam in the schoolyard because we’re away.

Just want it all sorted and cards in hand ;)

Put it on FB and twitter, I am sure someone at the club will notice and try to rectify. Otherwise there will be a fee choice comments on the clubs handling of this.

the ticket office have came back to me and apologised for not calling. said im free to pick my own seats which is now a bit pointless as there are not 3 together in that side of ground and they will reduce the price to the early bird rates which although nice would rather have paid the extra for the seats we had selected for the reasons given

Not atm unless they get demand
5k still available lower bowl

It would be interesting to see the calculation of the tipping point. With a fanbase spread across the UK and beyond, I wonder what matchday support a 30K ST base would be expected to indicate. I would have thought 30K ST indicates a typical home attendance in that area (35K), but for bigger games surely it will be needed. I can see why ST's may not be sold in the Concourse, but I'd hope that it was needed for the first couple of games and then become ongoing if we are doing OK.
