The laziness of some people never fails to amaze me. There is plenty of parking within a mile of the coast, but the useless twats can’t be arsed to walk. Instead there are parking on a grassed area where kids play. Absolute f***ing tools.

Given the beach has been packed many times and no one has ever parked there, there must be something that’s made them do it...the only possible thing in my opinion is the public car parks being closed.

Tbf it happened a few times last year on busy days.
Its like one starts doing it and everyone else follows.

It's like the morons who parked on the roundabout outside herra Country Park when the car park was closed. There's wardens on the gate now and the car park is open.

update..this morning machines working,joiners on roofs and brickies grafting, apparently they've been warned that Plastic Bertrand will be trying to get photos of them breaking the 2 metre rule

This exactly.
Parking is terrible down there, parking all over at seaburn, roker on the front is a free for all, with cars driving along, parking on the roundabout etc.
People are allowed to travel now, it's clearly obvious to anyone, people will go to the beach, and if the car parks are closed they will just park anywhere they can, especially considering theres no traffic wardens. I don't get why they don't open the car parks, they say its to stop people going, it doesn't and anyone with half a brain cell can see it wouldn't. I was at Shields on Monday and everywhere was fine as all the car parks were open.

Didn't look like it on the Stack or new hotel/bar. Miller Homes I think has.

Miller homes will be a visual improvement looking at it from the Seaburn Camp side. Blocks out all those tatty houses in South Bents with mismatched extensions etc on.
