We were totaly unprepared for the onslaught that day.
our first brush with Dion Dublin, I don't think he finished on the losing side against us.

Saw a few the same that season, mate. Millwall was similar. If I remember rightly we thought we'd go up that season. We drew our first home match, and think we won away somewhere in midweek - one of those matches was Derby, can't remember which one - and then we got tortured at Millwall on the Saturday. Season went downhill from there before it had even got going.

Watching the Fulwell in the 70's from the CS seats (young boy with his Dad) it would turn black as everyone turned to see what was happening, a hole would appear up the top and the combatants got stuck into each other.
5-0 opening day defeat at Derby young lad just in front of us got his nose spread all over his face.
Saturday at the SoL to old lads (probably younger than me :D) having a right good go at each other. Son calming his Father down

Standing in the Fulwell in the mid-70s it was other sunderland fans you had to watch out for..and not cos they wanted to argue over the finer points of taking a short corners..

all those various boot boy gangs in the same place.
It was very much like that in the Holgate (Ayresome) at the time.
Seemed to be a North/South Tees thing going on.

So when a stranger posts a comment you immediately abuse them because they aren't a regular poster ?

Plenty posters were also at pains to tar them all with the same brush...you must be ignoring that

I have no agenda whatsoever or an argument for that matter

Not what I said at all, doesn't even resemble what I said.

Twice this season the stewards have had to step in with people having a go at a bloke who sits near us. He is f***ing annoying like.

Saturday in the west stand two blokes wanting to go outside arguing with each other, Women with one of them trying to keep them apart, No idea what they were arguing over.

Last season when fans attacked the STID camera man, tho im guessing a lot like the show - it was made up and didnt happen.
