SAFC - Fan Ban & Ticket Cancellations

From what I’ve read on here you don’t seem the sort to do it but if it does come to a legal situation have you considered a gofundme to ensure you have decent legal support? I’m sure people you’ve helped over the years would be happy to pay. I wouldn’t know you from Adam and I’ve never had any help from you but I’d support it as it seems faceless people in the ticket office have made a decision behind closed doors and there’s no accountability or discussion.
Do this and if its not needed there’ll be a few grand for the Bradley Lowery foundation.

Apologies if SEB but have the club decided to implement these rules where each ticket must have a name and must match the person in the seat themselves or are they premier league rules the club are having to enforce?

If it’s the former its a complete disgrace to do this given they didn’t care how tickets went out when we couldn’t shift them. If it’s the latter it still seems like they could have done far more to help fans like the lad banned adjust to the new rules.

PL rules

We know of 2 of the 65 that didn’t go on sale as one of the lads told me today a supplier of there’s rang up to renew their 76 yards tickets and they asked if they had any tickets left for Newcastle as they’d seen the message about 65 tickets being cancelled. They said “it’s your lucky day, we can give you 2 tickets”. They had 0 loyalty points.
You really couldn't make it up. One rule for us. Laughable twats!

At least the club aren’t doing this of their own accord. Without knowing the clubs conversations with the PL I wonder if the club need to be seen to be taking steps to follow them i.e ID checks and bans etc.

Would have liked to see the club take a gentler approach i.e discussions with branches, final warnings etc before bans happen but that could be something dictated by the PL.

In which case you'd expect the club to target every branch in the same way, to check all tickets used correspond to the person entering in the interests of fairness.
Seems to me from what @SAFC2012 said the checks made showed 3 tickets from 10 checked from his branch didnt tally up on the checks.
Have any other branches been specifically targeted this way? And if not why not?

I've been told one other branch has been shut down, but I have no confirmation of this

The PL didn't instigate the checks, the club did.

They victimised 1 person and his associates for one aberration which was the likes of thing which every single branch would have done something similar in the past. Instead of like you saying organising a meeting and trying to draw a line under the issue going forward they came down on a loyal fan and good person and his associates like a tonne of bricks.

These people are nothing to this club. They are just employees passing by, taking their pieces of silver and f***ing off in the not to distant future. Out loyal fans are being treated like shit by these jobsworth wankers.

They’d have saved themselves a massive headache if they came out and said everything has been done inline with PL advice/rules/guidelines. The fact they haven’t might suggest they’ve been stricter than they perhaps needed to be.
Why do the club have to accept PL rules if they’re shit.

A quick google suggests multiple PL clubs have carried out ID checks this season. That would suggest it’s come from PL themselves as a way ensuring compliance with rules.

As for punishment I have no idea why the club have decided what they have, could have made the choice themselves or could have advice from the PL for failed ID checks.

I know for a 100% fact they targeted Paul! The club not the Premier League. 3 of the hundred and odd tickets he was responsible for failed the checks.

These aren't Google searches!

I've never said otherwise. Why would I be arguing anything other than I have the points that I earn?

I've no idea what point you're trying to make.
You came across as you were giving it the woe is me crack. It didn't come across well at all.
Some mental gymnastics here trying to twist the very simple point you made which was incredibly easy to understand

So the family had already purchased 3 tickets and then decided to purchase a single ticket, in a different tier, for a child? I mean even if you shouldn’t have been able to do so why on earth would you purchase a ticket for an 8 year old in a completely different tier to everyone else?
I assume the plan was to be only seperated for a tiny period at the turnstiles and then for one of the adults to sit in the seat on their own. Or an adult uses the child ticket and the child uses the adult one but they we worried they might get checked. It's a perfectly reasonable thing to do, just a rejig, nobody is losing money etc. However, if they get checked at the turnstiles it all goes tits up.
