Sadiki

A lot of interest from Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal for Noah Sadiki. Apparently we paid £15 million for him and it’s reckoned we would get more than £40 million for him.
Personally, I think if we sold Sadiki for less than £80 million, we would have right royally had our pants pulled down.
What do you think he’s worth, is £80 million + being too daft or about right.
For the record I hope he’s here next season, but I accept we have to sell to thrive (like Brighton and Brentford).

I'd be f#cking gutted if we sold him for 40m. He does the work of 2 midfielders, so it's 80m at the very least.

Bang on imo.

We’ve already seen links for,

Roefs - Chelsea
Sadiki - Man Utd, Chelsea
Brobbey - Bayern Munich
Diarra - Saudi League
Xhaka - Juventus

As you say they won’t be the last this summer. So far the approach seems to be one big sale per summer and unless we get hugely inflated offers I can’t see that changing.

I think of the current first team squad Roefs and Isidor will go.
Yeah, i think Roefs will be THE pmayer to leave unfortunately. Hope not obviously as we wont be getting a better replacement...he is that good.

If we lose Sadiki we'll lose him to a big club, and big clubs pays big fees. I think €80m (about £69m) is realistic based on the caliber of players that go for in and around that figure. Here are some deals involving Premier League teams;

Kai Havertz - €100m (and €77m 3 years later)
Antony - €95m
Josep Gvardiol - €90m
Frenkie De Jong - €86m
Darwin Nunez - €85m
Jayden Sancho - €85m
Wesley Fofana - €81m
Rasmus Hojlund - €77m
Jhon Duran - €77m
Benjamin Sesko - €76m
Woltemade - €75m
Marmoush - €75m
Cunha - €74m

If we have to sell, we'll be selling some of this season's top performing Premier League players. There aren't many Roefs and Sadiki's in world football.

If you spend £50m on a proven Premier League player, you're looking at the likes of Strand Larsen, Wissa, Jacob Murphy, Elanga etc. It's a bonkers market and we're playing with a great hand.
Are you an American now?

We don't even need to sell anyone yet. Give them all another year and then let the really big money fly in for one or two after next season. Theres no rush to get shot of such talent straight away.

I doubt any of the lads are arsed about leaving when they've basically just walked through the door. Most of them joined in the same window, and I think that's played it's part in how well they have all gelled together as a team.

Depends who comes in for them.
Would, for example, Sadiki have another chance to join Man United?
What I do agree with, as a few have said, is any player joining Chelsea must be mental.

if he perform well at the world cup, his value rocket, more competitive. Depends onto our club if we sell him for the right place and up to the player decided whether want to stay or not.

I’m not at all sure that this summer we will sell any of our potentially biggest assets ie Roeffs Sadiki Diarra Le Fee Brobbey Ballard - they along with Xhaka Mukiele Reinildo Alderete are the backbone of our team. We are likely to pull in maybe £140-150m “prize money” this season (subject to where we finish) so may be in a position to not have to sell anyone and if we can still afford to bring in 2-3 quality additions then we can have another very good year next season which would only lead to an increase in valuation of players.
l feel we may have targeted players extremely carefully and only brought in those that are 100% committed to the club and believe they can achieve their short or even medium term ambitions with SAFC so would want to give it at least one more season here and see where we are in May 2027. People go on about money but anyone getting even £50k a week will net £1m+ a year so at least for one season it may not be as much of a motivation compared to being part of building a really successful team to the right kind of person which might just be the sort of individuals we have recruited.

Says who though people on here or people at the club?

Why wouldn't he have another chance? If he has just as good or a better season with us again next season, he could have better clubs than United in for him, and we could command far bigger sums of money.

I doubt he's come here to f#ck off at the first instance.

Our DoF said we don't need to sell anyone.

I think we’ll keep a hold of him for another season or 2 and he’ll be the first player we sell for 100 million

We might only sell fringe players - Adingra, Isidor and people not even seen near the first team. Especially if we get some European football, I can see us bringing in 3 star players and 3-4 hot prospects
