Freddie the Greek
Striker
He was absolutely class on Sunday, possibly his best game for the club.

Personally, I think if we sold Sadiki for less than £80 million, we would have right royally had our pants pulled down.
It’s well tedious.I honestly think people should stop pissing their pants about players leaving. If we lose a player or two for mega money in the summer so be it. We are a club on the up and I'm sure they'll be plenty of good players who would be ower the moon to be playing their football here...
We're going to have an incessant 5 months of this now aren't we. He's linked there, he's linked there, there and there........
Whee's Gosolfi?Proper
I’m trying not to get hung up on it but here I am reading and commenting on another thread about it
I just want to enjoy the last 6 games of the season and then feel confident that KLD, Gosolfi and RLB have a plan and won’t have their pants pulled down by anyone.
This.Ramsey went to the mags for £43m and he’s absolutely shite. I’m not sure why our fans are so desperate to undervalue our players.
Sadiki is the closest thing I’ve seen to a clone of a peak Ngolo Kante. He’s going to be a superstar.
I think £80 Million is cloud cuckoo land but it's worth remembering that transfer fees aren't solely linked to how good a player is.
Factors like how important that player is to the current team, how long they have on their contract, how desperate the parent club are to sell and how desperate the buying club are all play a part. Trying to apply a universal logic to player worth is pointless.
£40 Million wouldn't be enough for me.
This.
Why shouldn't the club hold on for top dollar? Its not as if anyone is desperate to be away.
Would hate to have some on here during the negotiations.
They'd sell at the first lowball offer recieved.![]()
If you're going to sell, you've got to be able to replace them with 2-3 players of a similar quality or potential to hit the same levels. Always will be difficult to do and no guarentees. However, from what we've seen from the recruitment team so far, no reason to think we wouldn't be able to strengthen. It's difficult isn't it. Suppose it's a good thing to have your players linked with the biggest teams in the world.
First of all we can't be selling Roefs, Brobby and Sadiki in the same summer. Obviously could see one going - maybe even two. But not more then that. I'd like to think Sadiki might be prepared to give us another season with a wage bump or whatever.
You can never account for agents forcing through moves clearly, and you do not want to be the club that looks bad to other players by kicking up a fuss these days. And Arsenal, Chelsea and Man U are hard to turn down though, but I'd hope we have anyones eyes out over the players we sell and use it to re-tool the squad.
Chelsea paid £100M for Moses Caciedo after he had played 45 games for Brighton. The prices have gone up since then.No one will pay £80 mil for him after one season.
