The Mags wouldNo one will pay £80 mil for him after one season.
Tbf the market is that mental, some of the transfer fees recently have been way over the top.£80 million!![]()

Appreciate the model, but are we not thriving now? Do we really need to sell if the chances of us buying better are low?A lot of interest from Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal for Noah Sadiki. Apparently we paid £15 million for him and it’s reckoned we would get more than £40 million for him.
Personally, I think if we sold Sadiki for less than £80 million, we would have right royally had our pants pulled down.
What do you think he’s worth, is £80 million + being too daft or about right.
For the record I hope he’s here next season, but I accept we have to sell to thrive (like Brighton and Brentford).
We'll only sell for daft money I reckon.Appreciate the model, but are we not thriving now? Do we really need to sell if the chances of us buying better are low?
Pressure is on Ghisolfi I guess.
A bidding war can drive the price up tooI think £80 Million is cloud cuckoo land but it's worth remembering that transfer fees aren't solely linked to how good a player is.
Factors like how important that player is to the current team, how long they have on their contract, how desperate the parent club are to sell and how desperate the buying club are all play a part. Trying to apply a universal logic to player worth is pointless.
£40 Million wouldn't be enough for me.
Not a case of whether we need to sell or not. If the players head is turned we can do very little and contracts mean s0d all. Best you can do is extract the biggest quid proAppreciate the model, but are we not thriving now? Do we really need to sell if the chances of us buying better are low?

Why would any top player what dysfunctional Chelsea other than big paycheck and bright lights of London to a road of trying to grab some minutes you better be really good or your just a body in trainingDon't think he'll leave this summer personally. One more year then sell for £80m + if he continues

If you're going to sell, you've got to be able to replace them with 2-3 players of a similar quality or potential to hit the same levels. Always will be difficult to do and no guarentees. However, from what we've seen from the recruitment team so far, no reason to think we wouldn't be able to strengthen.
Good reply mate . If it happens it happens. I'm sure they'll have a plan for whatever scenario.I honestly think people should stop pissing their pants about players leaving. If we lose a player or two for mega money in the summer so be it. We are a club on the up and I'm sure they'll be plenty of good players who would be ower the moon to be playing their football here...
Unless is stupid money, I think we'll get at least another year out of all our 'big' players. They love it man. Sure. If they want to go, there’s little we can do to keep them. Part of convincing them of The Model could be our openness to allowing them to move on if the £ is right. Not a case of whether we need to sell or not. Wage wise we can’t compete with likes of United, Arsenal, Chelsea
Some fodder coming up from the Champ will be useful. Also think we need to start thinking about life post-Xhaka. Results have shown us this season how reliant we are on him.Yeah- but it depends doesn’t it though. Say Diarra hits his potential, with Xhaka still injury free. We might be improved by having a player marginally worse in the centre but two far better wingers (for example). Hard to know really. But I’m looking forward to the window and who we get/ don’t get.
I think we can’t be complacent and we don’t know this. But the three coming up aren’t going to spend the amounts we did, so hopefully we already start from a massive advantage compared to last summer.
