Has indeed. Back when the US expelled a bunch of Russian diplomats a few years ago, there were 3 Il-96s parked at the holding pad right at the end of runway 12/30. I remember sitting there in a flyspeck of a regional jet looking up at them as we were in the takeoff queue.

It’s a tough one. Does Putin have the patients to wait this out? As it stands there’s zero off ramp right now.

He has shown he doesn’t give a fuck about peace talks. There’s a point where something has to give. I just think it will be Ukraine that goes before anything else

Of the NATO states and they will fight back if Russians invade they won’t invade a nato country. Putin is desperate for the west to start on him in Ukraine he won’t be silly enough to attack a nato country

1) he isn’t under control of Ukraine
2) he wouldn’t split the fronts
3) the supply line would be worse than Ukraine

It’s Military suicide to even attempt to think of taking another country at the moment

This would also lead to Belarus being open for attack from NATO which means he would lose a vital supply line. It’s mad to think that they believe Russia cares about them and not how well they are situated for the Ukraine attack.

Everyone knows Putin tried to get Trump elected and re-elected.
Trump threatened to withdraw from NATO and tried to make Ukraine investigate Biden in return for weapons.
Trump was desperate to use nukes but not against someone who had them.
Trump did the damage in Iraq not Biden. Biden just got his people out.
It is difficult to imagine a situation worse than this but Trump in charge would be it. His unpredictability won't stop a first strike the idiot trying on of his own might.

Pure waffle.....Trump was pissed off with NATO one of the main reasons I recall was because they were pumping billions into NATO and Germany were pumping billions into Russia for this gas line


The problem is too many people have their head up their arse on trump and even brexit.

Same with this war there is people out there tweeting to boycott mcdonalds because they won't close their Russian restaurants....the west are still buying Russian gas and oil :/......

People have become complete and utter brain dead morons over over last few years unable to think for themselves

When I worked in Russia the locals all had a severe dislike of the Americans with a passion.
Despite the city being full of tourists from the USA spending.

Hopefully that means they're more than a little pissed off with their comrade in arms, but difficult to know if they're not gonna spell it out.

As for Vlad suggesting that sanctions are akin to a declaration of war, as others have said, I reckon he's starting to realise this is going to hurt - his country will suffer and he will most likely suffer himself within the coming weeks - possibly in the cruelest Russian way - taken out the back door and shot in the back of the head.

Wasn't taken as facetious mate, but my point still stands. Nukes have not stopped them from invading a country. What they have done is protect him from Ukraine sympathetic nations stepping in. So in effect, they are doing the opposite of negating war. They are protecting a nation who are prosecuting one.
