Saw that yesterday, really sad. It’s why I said what I said earlier - there are victims on both sides of this conflict. I want Russia to ‘lose’ but there is no pleasure to take from seeing young lads in peril like this.

Important to remember many Russian soldiers will be there against there will. Conscription is still a thing in Russia and as we’ve seen from multiple different sources, many of the Russian soldiers are being lied to by their own superiors about where they are and why they are there.

Blocking their funds and assets also stopping them travelling to certain counties.

I’m acutely aware of where we are. It’s of our making to an extent. I don’t think Russia will have any power after this, or at least nowhere near how it has been perceived until recently.

The worst case scenario is all major populations are majorly obliterated.

We can’t allow this situation to occur again, but it’s madness to make the current situation worse.

I do think it’s important diplomacy tries to resume as there’s lives on the line. Surely a compromise can still be achieved that prevents further loss of life

To be honest, I'm hoping that happens because in the short term it will save Ukrainian lives and it will also get Putin back out in public where I'm pretty sure there'll be a few western government intelligence services waiting to take him out. The Ukrainians will never accept a puppet government in the long term so they'll be overturned sharpish as well.

I was talking to one of our PMs earlier this week. His project is winding down but they are using a subcontractor in Ukraine. One of the developers was working in his parents basement in Kyiv. Our PM told him to take time off if he needed to but he said he desperately needed to keep working to pretend there was some normality in his life.

And that’s only part of the story. Along with sanctioning sovereign funds, no one buying their oil, interest rates at 20%, having to pay 30% commission to change rubles to dollars, rubles themselves at 1.20.

JP Morgan expect a default within a month
