Petrol prices 😬
The queue at Sainsburys this morning was mad mind

Sad really Janey that this is ultimately what will worry most. Price of petrol.. not the situation many Ukrainians will find themselves in shortly.... christ the south east go into meltdown/selfish bastard mode when it snows.... imagine us being under the cosh from fighter aircraft, tanks, missile strikes and ground assault?

They've had a minute or two to plan and aim while the world sat by idly, making entirely clear that nobody cared.
During the G20 meeting in Rome last November , the Biden admin gave an unprecedented intelligence briefing to the UK, French, Genrman & Italian's detailing exactly the senario thats playing out now according to reporting in yesterday's New York Times.

Not sure how they were going to stop it, but clearly the west and NATO have been aware of it

It would be interesting to see how Corbyn would have dealt with this.
I reckon he would have been very vocal and acted more directly to rally the allies to come to the aid and provide military assistance in the Mother Countrys hour of need fighting against the Western oppressors
Doesn’t even bear thinking about.

Why have they fired a rocket in a residential area?
I had a brief watch of RT this morning and it was constantly repeated that Russia had not and will not harm any civilian.

They'll frame it as Ukraine doing it and hold Ukraine authorities to account for war crimes to justify what they've done.

As stated, it's different if he targets a NATO member.

You might not like to think of it that way, but it is.
Why?

You think the US and UK will sign up to defend Estonia? Lithuania? Hell, Lithuania already borders the world's largest Russian military base (sorry, "enclave").

He's literally been speaking out today against Russia, as he has all week. The Tories biggest doner is a former minister under Putin. But sure, Corbyn is the Russian asset.

I am deeply worried.

1. Russian nuclear use doctrine. Authorised (not that means anything at min) if "territory of Russia is threatened even by conventional force". He declares eg. Estonia as really part of wider Russia, he's taken on there & he declares that Russian land is threatened.

2. I've always had an interest in Putin & he's changed. He looks different & acts different. He had happy support of his cabinet & now they are terrified of him. Something is very much not right. He's 70 & I wonder if he is ill, or whether alleged 2 years of isolation have made him go a bit north Korea.

I think an internal "wtf is he doing" internal Russian action is only way out of this past a large confrontation.
Any chance anyone within Russia tries to oust him?

Depends when he targets them doesn't it. As long as they aren't doing anything he is going to continue to push buttons to see how much he can take before they act.

Plus the more it's ignored the more powerful they can grow. Also if China decide to act on Taiwan then that will start to spread the US out and things can escalate further.

No one wants a war but I do think this is a case of act now or face a bigger threat down the road.

they have signed up - its called the NATO treaty

whether they'd fulfil their obligations is the actual question
