Why on Earth would he be dithering, if he had the assurances/terms he wanted; and if he doesn't have those assurances, it's not him dithering is it?
I dunno. It certainly could be. Not like he hasn't got form for getting stuck on bits of psychology and wanting to make a point from time to time.

It can’t possibly all be agreed tho, there’s something somewhere holding it up, if it was ‘all agreed it would be signed, sealed and announced. If it was all agreed he’d be taking training right now.
Maybe his sides all agreed but as others have said it may be a delay due to staff he’s bringing/trying to bring with him

It will be interesting to see IF he comes back how he handes the players, just volleying them will achieve nothing. You would think he is smarter than that, he also needs the right team with him with experience of bringing lads through, maybe we will see some of his UTD contacts roll up?

I think this squad is very decent, although patchy in some areas, with the correct organisation and motivation we should do well, but we are leaving it late.

I don't expect him to just come in and volley them. The Anton Ferdinand example wouldn't work with these either. They would probably turn round and say 'aye, you're right'.

There's only really Baath l, Stewart (?) and probably Gooch who have a bit mettle in that team and Gooch is too flippant to use it properly. Can't comment on any of the new lads yet.

Like everyone else you are guessing. You choose to believe its all the clubs fault and that is your perogative. Doesn't make you right. Its a massive decision for boith club and Roy and its perfectly understandable that Roys is taking his time. He could still turn us down even of all terms are agreed.

I'll take Speakman's word for it.

He's the one who sat in front of a camera on Saturday and told us that the Club was still in the process of "compiling a shortlist".

It's all agreed, haven't a clue what the delay is.
I don't have a clue if it's all agreed or not. If it is, then there's nothing to fret over. Perhaps they're simply biding their time, building up the tension & sense of anticipation. And if so, it's working, ha, ha. Let's be honest, Roy Keane being appointed head coach at a League One club would be newsworthy stuff & arguably deserving of a bit of a fanfare....

Hope that's not the thinking. Cringeworthy if so.

We are a football club under pressure to throw the kitchen sink at promotion to get out of this tinpot league ASAP - we aren't a boyband or a reality TV show whipping up suspense ffs.

It does work both ways. A few games ago we just needed to defend a last minute corner against Wycome and we'd be top. Lee Johnson would still be here. Its all fine margins. I think overall we have a good squad for this division but suffered from the fact that Lee Johnson's teams always seemed to lose confidence quickly. I'm of the opinion that other, better, managers/head coaches could get us up. I would include Keane and Neil. The DOF systems makes the Head Coach slightly less important but I still believe he is the most important component in our club. We made a misake employing Lee Johnson.

it is not really down to fine lines though is it?
the outcome of fine lines determine the difference between good and average managers.
take Chris Wilder as an example, you could say his victory against Man Utd was a fine line which could have went either way, but he come out on the right side of that fine line. At Sheffield Utd to get 2 x consecutive promotions there would have been many fine lines, but the difference between him and Lee Johnson is the fine lines tend to go in his favour whereas they do not with LJ. Some people think that is lucky or unlucky.
actually it is not, it is the difference between getting the job done and not.

I agree the squad confidence is very low at present, i think Johnson's idea of playing the ball out all the time meant that teams could plan for it, it is also my belief that our defence just are not up to that task, they need to mix it up a bit more. What they need is firm decisive leadership and a plan they can understand, i do think that Keene would supply this a bit better than Neil.HTL

Was all going so well till speakman pissed all over it pre match saturday

If Speakman was telling the truth he is an idiot. Rather happy overall with his transfer dealings, but in regards to replacing LJ he seems all over the shop
