Roy Keane

A team that lost 5-0 the other day and we made them look clinical. We’re abysmal from top to f***ing bottom and I wouldn’t blame Keane for telling us to fuck off at this point.
Thats what the club want, they dont want Keano but know we do.Other oldies will remember the then safc board playing similar tactics over appointing Cloughy as he would have told them to put up or shut up.McCann incoming.

That just looks like part of the contract game to me.
Keane said the contract has to be right- meaning the club needs to change something and he’ll sign.
Speakman says we’re going through the process of speaking to a lot of people- or in other words telling Keane he’s not the only choice.
I think you think speakman is cleverer than he is. Tim nice but dim.

Seems a reasonable assumption.

After that performance today tho the scales topped in Roy’s favour massively.

Don't think it will be Keano.. Didn't give anything away on Itv last night see what he says on TV tomorrow... Think he will be pissed off that they are interviewing more candidates other than just him

If I were Keane now I’d be saying “I want a minimum 18 month contract (for me and my staff), final say on recruitment and freedom to play however I think we need to play, to get results”.

If Speakman wants to run the academy and tell everyone there about structures and philosophies, let him get on with it - but the person who takes responsibility for the first teams results, should have control of the first team.

I’m not sure it serves him well to say that a week after he sacked the “head coach” - and five days after he left us with only two fit senior centre halves - he’s only now getting around to “drawing up a shortlist”.
It is him trying to say that all is well and to trust the ‘project’. Use of that word alone should be a sackable offence.

He’s not going to be in place by Tuesday imo. He’s at Anfield until 3 tomorrow.

Imagine if he’s asked tomorrow “fuck that did you see them yesterday, nothing to gain and everything to lose”
If he's not installed Monday he won't be coming imo. Reckon we will know by Monday too.
Hate that term “the project” ffs there’s loads of buzzword wanky middle management phrases creeping into the game
Philosophy

Keane and Speakman working together, Keane would eat him on everything, and Speakman know it.Philosophy projects, get fucked

The other way to look at it is “nothing to lose”, of course - he’d be taking over a team at a low ebb and if we didn’t go up, could anyone really blame him for it?
