I won't name names, but I feel that squad is too nice, keano will want them shouting at each , not just saying unlucky after a mistake, I just don't feel like the majority of this squad is like that . You only have to look at their body language on the pitch.

If Roy takes the job Matete could be a key player - aggressive, energetic etc.

Roy Keane as manager is a no brainer for me - It's who will he bring in as coach/assistant that matters as much
Whoever that is is probably just as important as Keane as they will be the one/s who are with the players most of the time as I remember Keane wasn't that much hands on in training when last here

I can't understand why people think having a 'hard man' in charge will automatically bring success. I'd rather have an astute manager in charge. No, I can't name one but Keane in charge worries me. Tell me where he has been successful then tell me his last managerial role. His first year at Sunderland is my memory followed by an unsuccessful season and four months.

I thought he did a cracking job with us. Staying up after a promotion to the prem is hard. He admitted he got recruitment wrong at Ipswich.

why? defoe is the ultimate professional so keane will love him. keane will have been spot on with them villa lads as there were a few wasters in the squad at the time

Agreed. I think the second season was every bit as successful as first. We had some real bang average players like Murphy, stokes, Nosworthy and stayed up pretty comfortably. It was a struggle but it's not like he had an open chequebook. He did well
