Roy Keane

Aye just had it on there.

My guess is that Keane gave him a harsh but firm b*****ing over something at Villa and the delicate bairn never got over it.
Abonglahor admitted yesterday to doing 10x worse things than Aubemeyang did at Arsenal and he never got sidelined from the Villa squad so can only imagine how Keano took to him.

It says a lot in that talksport Twitter video of Agbonlahor slagging Keane off, there’s a load of Villa fans telling Agbonlahor to wind his neck in and that Keane was right about their unprofessionalism.

It’s almost like Roy had sussed Gabby & other Villa players that they’re absolute time wasters.

It's this 'it's only tinpot League 1' attitude that is causing us the problem.

We aren't good enough to get out of it, but we think we are
I was countering the argument that Keane somehow won’t be able to cope with the changes in football. League 1 is a tough league to get out of.

I’ve been thinking on it for a day or two now and this is what swung it for me. At this point in the season who else would give the club and more importantly the players the jolt they need? Now it may go tits up but sometimes you just have to be brave. One thing with Keane is less than 100% one hundred percent of the time is unacceptable. Some of these players may not like that but they’ll need to ask themselves if they will be better for it.
My reasoning too. The season hangs on a knife edge thanks to Johnson's inconsistency for which he's paid the price. You simply cannot have these swings in form going into the last third of the season if you want promotion whether that be automatic or play offs.
This move represents our very best chance of promotion now.
I want him sitting 12 rows in front of me on Saturday.

Spot on.

It’s not like he watches and analyses modern football for a living or anything.
I'm fully caught up in this. It's gonna be a top laugh. But his punditry is mostly awful. If Souness said the stuff Keane does most of the time, he'd be derided as a dinosaur. In actual fact Souness does. Keane is an intelligent man and I hope it's at least a part due to him playing the character of Roy Keane. There's certainly the hint of a knowing wink about it all. But the stuff he says on telly is mostly designed to get a response from football fans. He will need to provide something different in an actual changing room.

I’m reading on here that Keane is a leader. We all know that. I want someone who can organise a team so they don’t get beaten. If he can do both then happy days. Being a leader and being a good organiser of a football team don’t always go hand in hand though.
