Accusations of acting dishonourably are just daft though, the manager has still been sacked, so what does it bother him if the club have sorted his successor prior to pumping him? I think those accusations can be easily ignored.
They have a plan. They’ve got a shortlist and they’re speaking to them. It’s not pathetic at all.
Was part of the plan to have 2 clueless bairns in charge of a vital game?

Honestly starting to properly f***ing piss me off now like. You'd think it was the middle of f***ing July
Surely we are handing a poisoned chalice to whoever the next man is....I can't believe this utter farce. Most if us just want to get behind the new manager and give him a chance but this is beyond a joke.....Another day and surely we can all say in unison..." sorry we don't give a fuck now"

Well second interviews are now scheduled. They’ll incorporate a PowerPoint presentation of what each candidate plans and proposes for the first 100 days and some behavioural focused competency based question sets.

Then of course there’s the pre employment medical.

Then they have to take up references. And there’s the DBS check.

And HR have to draw up a offer letter. And wait for formal acceptance.

There’s the usual nationality checks etc - entitlement to work in the U.K. etc.

Once that’s done, an induction plan can be developed and the i boarding process can commence with a health and safety leaning module and a video of the company strategy presentation.

Things will move quickly and the new manager should be in place within a matter of a month or so.
Since when did second interviews become a thing in Football. Can't even understand them in real life. I know companies impose them but i'm convinced they just do it because it's fashionable. A second interview means you have the job.

When?

Doesn't Roy have to sit a General Knowledge Test for Speakman first? Then a spelling test.
Then a philosophy exam...
He’d have to demonstrate an encyclopaedic knowledge of corporate doublespeak.

tbh if it was agreed on friday-the lawyuers would take untiolt oday to draw up the contract for him to sign.
The lack of urgency is startling. We are sinking like a stone in a pond.

Other clubs must have the contact details of the super fast lawyer corporation, while we use some Dickensian firm that refuse to move away from quill and ink.
