I'm certain he had the same inexperienced back room staff at Ipswich. Since then he's worked , all be it as an assistant , under more experienced managers. Hopefully he's reflected and learned his lesson. I think his analysis of games is generally spot on as well when you strip away the sound bites.

The team , and more so the fans probably , need a boost. Keane could be the one to do it.

I'd back any manager who comes in , I always have as no other choice but if its a choice between Keane / Neil / Terry - its Keano every time.
 
Johnson was a marmite manager to some but tbf to him he tried to play a brand of football that was very pleasing on the eye at times..you could argue what let him down was ,he needed physicality in games when we were bullied..that was said alot on here and I was one of them..so just hypothetically Keane comes in and sees that..do you think he'd stand for it???...I think not!!

If they interview Keane and give it to McCann that'll be me done for a while. Nowt personal against McCann. Covid is a pain in the arse but at least I got to witness very little of Parkinson. I can't be doing with 'the safe option' while we're in League One.

Didn't have the same backing.

McCarthy was there years and did bugger all except lay the foundations for relegation.

It’s a really lazy assumption to make when people make him out to be some sort of raging hothead. Maybe he as as a player but he was fantastic for safc. He doesn’t suffer fools and he speaks his mind. Our new owner and DoF are football people. Big difference from Ellis short

What? Liam Lawrence? I know which one I respected more.
 
Not sure about this. Would obviously be great fun for the nostalgia, but football a very different place now. A lot of League One teams all use a data driven approach now, gone are the days of 442 and vibes. He'd kick a rocket up their backsides, but can't see him being the man to know what to do tactically if we're going in at half time 2-0 down.
