Officially appointed Derby boss. Big job on there for him they are in a proper mess

And as a side note that officially ends his playing career. What a career aswell. The all time leading goalscorer for England and Man Utd

Top goalscorer for Man United and England. Incredible career even if some people dismiss him because England didnt win anything (Messi hasnt won anything internationally either) and because he was quite controversial off the field.

Boxing day 2007 Rooney and Ronaldo absolutely destroyed us. I think that was the best side ive ever seen.
 
It's usually the crap footballers that make the better managers... Always thought Rooney was a good player that could and should have done better in his playing career.. Hope he does well .. Derby are a good working class supported club...
 
Fantastic player in one of the best teams ever, I'll always remember that screamer he scored against the mags.

You know you're old when Rooney retires! I remember watching Euro 2004 and thinking we had a real gem. As usual, it never worked out. Still, he had a brilliant club career

Rooney should have done better in his playing career? He played for years at Man Utd. and won a stack of things.
Derby are a good working class supported club? What does that mean?
 
Good luck to him, hes done really well in the caretaker role there, deserves a crack. Hope he goes on to have a good managerial career

.. Be was a good player, but he was no Messi or Ronaldo ..

Rooney could have achieved more and derby have hard working local support.. It that simple enough for you..
