Roko Simic - potential signing


Me and the boy were going past the AOL a bit earlier, big Merc with blacked out windows pulling out, and a lad standing at the entrance holding a new home top :D

O'Nien - no
Alese - yes
Cirkin - yes
Neil - no, but another that has been given the chance due to the focus on youth development.
Jobe - yes
Rigg - no, but signed his first pro contract under him.
Roberts - yes
Mayenda - yes
Clarke - yes

That's a pretty big influence on our first 11! That's with Ballard as well.

Sounds to me like Simic is in the works and likely to be done, while Wilson Isidor is done and scarfed basically (based on reports of numerous people seeing someone that looks like Keiran Richardson taking scarf photos at the SoL while another tall dark haired european player looked on (Simic)). Then another ITK reported two agents from the firm that represented him knocking around town with two players in tow. It's happening. Big question is whether this is us going ahead and spending Clarke money while we can or if it's unrelated business. Hoping we keep Clarke and piss the league.

Neither Isidor or Simic will cost pennies. Probably 5m plus between the two of them. Unless KLD is just reaching into his pockets (doubtful) then they must be anticipating sales of players to fund their transfer fees after the dust settles. I'd rather it be Ekwah's fee, but given all the speculation around Clarke, these two players might be coming in with expectation that Clarke is leaving. I don't think we'd be so foolish as to consider selling Clarke without lining up players to come in a help fill the void. Just speculation.
