Okay let me ask you this. Are you genuinely happy about this appointment and are you optimistic he’ll be the one that turns it all around?
Aye ok mate, so you've got a rule that only applies to certain managers.Roy Keane, Mick McCarthy, And David Moyes, were the names, consider why I haven't since.![]()

Seems like I was correct & this is rotten to the core.any evidence dodds and proctor are being kept in their current roles?
This is it, they've got to give him the tools to do the job, he's probably got a bit more idea than Beale & Dodds.Over to Speakman and the recruitment team to back him with signings now
you suggesting Dell are taking over?Good luck to him, because if THE MDEL doesn't change, he'll be in another relegation battle next season.
Fecks sake, relegatedDo you mean relegated?
That's the key to it all. He needs his ideas and recruitment supporting. Blokes had 20 odd years in football , he will know what he needs but it's just whether they will give it himThis is it, they've got to give him the tools to do the job, he's probably got a bit more idea than Beale & Dodds.
Tbf were any of those linked to us, any better then RLB ?
Après NDong pour 20 patates, Sunderland c'est vraiment un club ami
Coeur sur toi Sunderland
Why though? What would be an overwhelming or whelming appointment? I remember being buzzing over O'Neill, thinking Moyes was a good experienced fit we needed. I wasn't blown away by Mowbray but thought he'd be a decent appointment given the circumstances. Thinking Alex Neil was pragmatic but hardly exciting appointment. I thought Coleman would turn things around etc etc.
I don’t think they have made it look like there is no succession planning, they have made it absolutely obvious there isn’t.I agree, but I think the time taken after Beale left has understandably made people nervous. They’ve made it look like they had no control or real succession planning. Then you combine it with rumours of coaches turning us down and people go mental. Hopefully it has been worth the wait.
