I've just read the rest of your post.

I wonder if there was some kind of Lagonda owners club in the area then. I’ve only seen one in my life so five together is almost of hallucegenic proportions

Red Volvo p1800 scoots around ashbrooke.
Same bloke has a very early mini
And early mint moggy minor.

A mate of mine has a mint moggy minor and also used to work at Harry Ramsdens at the Metro Ctr as a clown entertaining the kids. He used to drive through in his moggy in full clown regalia

Saw a bmw e30 m3 evo a few weeks ago, looked and sounded lovely and worth a fortune now

Theres an lancia integrale evo kicking about too i’ve seen a few times.

Would love to own either of them

Aye

Just seen on Durham polices FB there was an aston Lagonda festival passed through town. When they describe it as a festival they mean 8 of them

They were up for a visit to the Aston workshop in Beamish .

Which to be fair is well worth a visit for anyone who’s interested in Aston Martin or older cars in general.

This bloke owns about 30 Aston Martin Lagonda cars.

It's not a race car more a concept hybrid just like the 918 Porsche.

911 GT3 Rs

I was talking to 2 Australian blokes in a petrol station on the m6 last year, one was in a 911 turbo, the other a 918. They owned a business in Australia but did a lot of work here, they'd always wanted to drive around the Highlands so were staying over in the UK for a few months, bought some nice cars and were doing just that. Fantastic looking car that 918 is.

I passed a gt40 in Ashington a week or so ago, there had been a classic car show on up the coast, must have been returning from that. They don't drive things like that in Ashington

Seen two in the last fortnight that I’ve never seen previously.

A Jaguar D-type on the A690 which looked and sounded original rather than a kit car....and just today an Aston Martin Lagonda at Chester le St which to be fair was a big ugly lump.

Got to say the 50’s design is more aesthetically pleasing than the 70’s wedge styling.
Lagonda club do this weekend up here

I went to the Dubfest thing at Alnwick a couple of months ago and there was a Rallye Golf there. I think that was only the 2nd one I've ever seen, I nearly bought one in the 90s but got a VR6 instead.

I live near a car test track/proving ground type place so often see new models of cars, in their car camouflage, heading off to be tested. I guess they’re rare when I see them.

I remember when they came out and one tried it on with me da in his Saab.
He set the cruise control at 125 and left the Vauxhall poverty mobile for dead. When me dar slowed down we got pulled at Hexham by a Police 3 litre Carlton. My dad got a producer and the copper said, you were doing at least 125mph when you went past us at Gateshead, can you keep your speed down in future as I nearly burnt my valves out trying to catch you.

Escort? f***ing shite.

A proper shark nose?
Rocketing in value though
