If he turns them down they'll call him worse than shite and he wouldn't have been good enough anyway!

Obviously time would tell, but from here I hope I'm saying in 15 years time " isn't it a shame Newcastle United ended up playing in the National League North"
I wouldn't worry they'd have to run by a complete buffoon for that to happen. Oh hang on a minute

Rafa is holding out for assurances before committing to a long term deal, but looks set to put pen to paper.

Ashley keen to keep him on, the plan is to try and hold onto as many first team players as possible and get promoted at the first time of asking.

High risk strategy from Mike?

If he absolutely and categorically wanted to stay, the ink would have been dry at some stage yesterday evening.

there ego is ripe for popping again, maybe after they have lost 2-0 at leeds or wolves
mate the total belief that rafa... is the chosen one is reminiscent the the time Lawrie Mac came to sunderland.

is it not about time that this Messianic fixation they seem to go all mental for once a decade is killed stone dead.... that is the chosen one turns out to be utterly disasterous

you really think, it could happen, that rafa could be the one our lot have all been waiting for, the one who will destory them ?

Lads, let's stop deluding ourselves.
If FSW doesn't stay, they'll get Moyes or Pearson or Flores, someone decent - fwiw I think its 100pc nailed on FMA will give him all he wants.

However, the main thing is, is that the Ch'ship is very mediocre. Very mediocre indeed. Even if 4/5/6 of their so called top rated players leave, they'll still be too strong for most sides esp at home.
There is no way they will finish outside the top six and imho, they'll piss it like they did last.

However, by the time they return, they will find us and many others, much stronger than when they saw us last !

think about it....since Keegan walked (again) what has been the common trait amongst all subsequent managers ???
they towed the line...
what does Benitez probably want? ....total control?

cast your aye over this, it makes some interesting points
