His agenda is clearly to convince the fans that the owner will not part with any transfer funds. That has been an under current to their relationship since he arrived. Ashley, quite rightly, is running the club within it's means and wants it to be self sufficient. Benitez is either using the supposed lack of funds as his get out of jail free card, or isn't intelligent enough to realise that if you look 16 miles down the road, there is a perfect example of what happens when a club is badly managed from the top. Now imo, Rafa is a pretty intelligent bloke.....

Get out of jail card for me, I don’t believe for one second that it’s not Benitz’s ‘people’ leaking information, this latest about unfair dismissal is very cynical knowing Ashley has been done by Keegan for this.
Ashley won’t take kindly to it.

It's the close season, there's no takeover news and there's been similar threads on Everton and Arsenal.

As many of the.comments, on this thread, are people responding to Mag posts it's bound to be bigger.

I'm not sure what other facts you would need.

What else you would judge a manager on other than league placing and team performance (which facilitates league placing anyway).

Grayson was a terrible manager for us as he is judged on his league placing when he left, which was in and around the bottom three. Anyone suggesting otherwise would have to be mentally deficient.

Which despite your best efforts to prove otherwise, I don't believe you are.
