Very true mate and quite sad.

At one time I'd never leave the house on Cup Final day ...

.... doubt I'll bother this Saturday, rather sit down by the lake watching the kingfishers catching supper for their chicks ;)
I'll probably watch it. Wouldn't mind watching the Kingfishers too. Sadly not many around here.

I actually think its impossible and fuck knows how they did it, they put the fear factor into teams that season.

I agree, i never get excited as i know come 1/4 final stage we will get twonked, not that we ever make it that far....i will never see my team EVER collect a domestic trophy in truth so how the fuck we sell so many tickets is beyond me.
You never seem to get as bad as us and you have had a go in the last few decades but all we've done is get worse, apart from the six in a row and a cup final. Hardly any wins at home takes it's toll even on the most loyal of fans.

FA Cup day use to be the highlight, 'It's a knockout', the dodgy camera work of the cameraman on the bus :) & the aerial view of the bus / crowds , the caricatures in the newspapers and a celebrity footballer 'Question of Sport' amongst much more on view.
It's a Knockout with the supporters was brilliant as was all the build up to Wembley. Maybe I'm just a sentimental old fart now but as a football supporter you felt part of the big occasion. After it was our turn in 73 you seemed to identify with what the following cup final supporters were going through leading up to cup final day. Nowadays it's a 30 second preview slot on Sky the week before the final, watch the match, then move on to the next big event.

Looking more and more like pellegrini

Happy enough with that, obvs won league at city, broke real Madrid’s points record. But also broke up the big two in Spain with Valencia and took Malaga to top 4 and champs league 1/4 finals so has shown can do it at smaller clubs too

Rafa Benitez could claim constructive dismissal if he quits and avoid a £6m bill. More on soon.

There's the small matter of him having spent £100m on players.

Craig Hope reckons the waiter could claim constructive dismissal :lol:

I can’t imagine Ashley being happy with this type of talk, whether he goes to West Ham or not, to me it looks like Benitez is trying to dig his escape tunnel, while preparing the Ashley blame game.

You seen this @janey

Like fat mike going to agree to a £100 million pound kitty

Plus £6million a year for FSW

think the FSW just wrote his win resignation letter

Ashley has said what he can have to spend, it seems like it’s the assurances around how he can spend it, and developing the training facilities and infrastructure that he’s after as well. The likes of Caulkin have said they are still miles apart.
Ashley won’t like the stuff leaking out in the press at all, Benitez playing a dangerous game trying to outwit Ashley in the press. Ashley doesn’t give a shiny shit about the fans so he will do what’s best for him.
If Benitez can’t resign without paying his £6m I think he just won’t sign an extended contract, that will make players harder to sign because they won’t know who will be managing them at the end of next season.

Thank you for backing me up.

And Pardew, you've just got to laugh haven't you  Newcastle's best manager in years and more successful than Benitez has been there, mad innit
Yes, you would have to be mentally deficient to honestly believe that. Which I don't believe you are.

It certainly does, but you don’t get everyone from other cities making a big song and dance about how great their place is like you lot.
Course you do, you massive knacker.
