"Twice in the past week, I’ve asked Benitez if he will allow his heart to rule his head when deciding his future.

He didn’t really answer my question either last Friday in his pre-match press conference or on Sunday afternoon"

I'd see that as a cause to worry rather than the opposite

I#'d see this as a cause for huge embarassment

he loves to spend too, how good would he be on a nil budget ?
If by a 'nil budget' you mean spending only what you raise in sales or less then that's what he's done at Newcastle.
If you mean having to sell Pickford, lose Defoe and loan out anyone you can on decent wages with pennies for replacements then I think anyone is facing an uphill struggle. I still think he'd have done better than Grayson or Coleman though.

So to sum that article up, Benitez didn’t answer his questions and so the journo has decided that because he said nowt he is going to stay at Newcastle!.

Complete non story that.
Haway man they need something to hang to. They're like lads who have a girlfriend well above their punching weight and she's looking at better options

Managers and players alike don't get the say though I think in any move to London. In both cases (players or managers) any move is determined by the wives. They seem to judge a place on the bars, cafe's and upmarket shops since a lot of the leisure time will be spent in those places and since London comes top every time I would assume that it is a near certainty that any club in London wanting a manager or player will have a good chance of success.

I think it's more complicated than that. Aguero isn't going to swap Manchester City for Arsenal, no matter what his wife says. Tarkowski won't swap Burnley for Fulham should they come up, just because the Kings Road has loads of high end shops.

It's about time your takeover was confirmed and some plans announced. All this quiet time is giving you nowt to talk about but your rivals. A wee bit excitement woouldn't go amiss.

Lot of "ignored comment" on this thread!

Just pressed it and it went up loads of pages....

Main culprit the SMBs own knacker novelist the fish.

Didnt he fuck off for a while? Infested the board atm they will to back under their rocks eventually.

Good laugh though

And Mrs Benitez has lived in the Wirral for years. She aint upping sticks and moving to London

personally I think this will force Ashley to give him what he wants and he'll stay there, BUT if Ashley won't do that I think he will join us
I’m not so sure, in some ways I think Ashley would be glad to see the back of him, and he doesn’t give a shiny shit what the fans think of him.

Unbelievable that this thread is at the very top of the first page with 300+ replies since last night.

We are setting ourselves up for a massive fall again if this rumour doesn't go anywhere. Remember the last thread about Rafa last year? Absolute embarrassment that ended up locked.

And Mrs Benitez has lived in the Wirral for years. She aint upping sticks and moving to London

Care to explain why managing in Madrid and Italy were not a problem but London would be?

He was actually quoted as saying he wouldn’t let emotion influence his decision this time

And Mrs Benitez has lived in the Wirral for years. She aint upping sticks and moving to London
To be fair she didn’t up sticks and move to Newcastle, so whatever arguments for and against that ones pretty moot. It won’t take much more time to get to London than to Newcastle
