End of the day West Ham are a far more attractive proposition.

Bigger ground, higher attendances, arguably better players, i'd imagine a higher wage structure and the biggest selling point - London.

If they want him, they could have him.

Managers and players alike don't get the say though I think in any move to London. In both cases (players or managers) any move is determined by the wives. They seem to judge a place on the bars, cafe's and upmarket shops since a lot of the leisure time will be spent in those places and since London comes top every time I would assume that it is a near certainty that any club in London wanting a manager or player will have a good chance of success.
 
He's clearly a good manager. He's taken Newcastle from bottom three to tenth whilst reducing the age of the squad and turning over a profit in transfers. His team's are hard to beat and very well organised. Some people on here just can't bring themselves to admit it.
I think he'll be on his way though. I don't think Ashley has any desire to take the Mags further whereas at West Ham I think he'll get more backing.
 
personally I think this will force Ashley to give him what he wants and he'll stay there, BUT if Ashley won't do that I think he will join us

Without checking i'm pretty sure that would be based on them selling players Benitez didn't buy.

I'd be amzed, in fact astounded if he could sell his transfers on for a profit!
 
This all goes to show the value of Sean Dyche working on a penny farthing budget and European Qualification. Think he could walk into most jobs.

It was more a comment on the fact he's done a fine job working with what he's inherited, but I think the point in transfers is a valid one. I was talking to a Liverpool fan last night who would agree. His opinion was when he spends big he spends well but his budget buys were generally poor.
He wouldn't fault him for getting the best out the players he had though.
