Still early days in career but if he continues this type of form he'll have a good career

All about facial accesories.
Look how crap arsenal got once Wenger ditched the goggles and got lazered.
Fergie turned Ronaldo into a ballon dor winner once he became a full spectrum warrior.

And no managers, ever have succeeded without double glazing.

Rafa hasn't been the same since grew that goatee

never mind Rafa, when you leave you can comfort yourself with the knowledge that the media will remove any blame from you for not having been backed in the transfer market.

How is it £62m? Or even £42m this summer?
Put the players and fees up that add up to that.

Put the links up earlier. Last summer fees seemed to have raised from £57m to £62m. Even taking into account any slight inaccuracies this website might have, he's still laid out approx. £100m since arriving

It's £35m and they've also recouped £10m of that, but even that's nothing if you want to do anything at all in that league bar scraping 17th when you consider teams who finished in the bottom half last season such as Palace are spending (£28m), Leicester (£25m), West Ham (£24m) and Bournemouth (£20m) on literally one player. That's what they needed, 3 really good players, even if it costs 60-70m, not 35m on 6 players including Joselu, Atsu and Manquillo just to further fill out the squad.

Thought the mag would love your post

Rafa has reinvested approx £100m since last summer.

Huddersfield just over £40m & Brighton £45m

Stoke £40m, Burnley £45m, West Brom £55m, Swansea £65m, Bournemouth £65m, Southampton £80m and similar to "huge" spending Palace £100m

Less than the so called top 7 (although I didn't bother checking) the champions at the time Leicester, stadium receiving West Ham and surprisingly Watford.

My point is more the fact everyone mag or media seems to be ignoring the amount Rafa has already invested. He's already spent a competitive amount since last summer.

The media don't want to know facts about Newcastle. They have the legend ... Get with it ;):)

I'm shocked that's real. That is a pathetic quote to come out with after 2 games in August. Depresses the squad and will put doubt in their heads already.

Remind you of anyone?...except theirs has spent all money on sales (around £100m) compared to ours who spent around a quarter of that.

It's his version of the Moyes line "We are in a relegation battle."
Spot on, and after that quote we knew that the manager was part of the problem.

Them lot will never say that about Rafa though

I don't see why they love him so much, he's in full David Moyes, self-preservation mode, already.
It can only be their usual arrogance and delusion. They see themselves as this behemoth of a club akin to Barcelona and FSW is a big name in football due to his previous clubs. They feel that they deserve to have such a 'superstar' in charge of them. Unfortunately for them it's a case of the 'Emperor's New Clothes', because they just can't see how shite he really is, only that they have 'Rafa' as manager. It's really quite amusing watching from the outside.
In a way I'd love him to walk just to witness the meltdown and the hatred for Sir Mike grow, but in reality the longer he stays the better, because they will struggle with him in charge.

Hope they get Carroll back
The handful of games he'll play won't be enough to get them going plus you just know he'll get in loads of casino bother!

I can't get over this!! He's almost literally saying that if they win it's because he's a class manager but if they lose it's because he's got shit players!!:

‘The name of the manager doesn't matter – it's about the team,’ he said.

‘If you have the right tools you can compete and do different things. When you have a very strong team then it doesn't matter if the manager isn't good enough because you can still win.

‘In my experience, I have seen a lot of managers win only because their players are so good.

'People outside think the one who wins is a great manager, but sometimes it is only because of the team. The thing that matters most is the players.

‘The reality is that the best managers in the Premier League have been there a while and they have been able to spend some money on top-class players, so they have a better squad than we have.

‘So you can be a good manager but lose games because your team is not good enough.’
Jesus did he really say that shit?
