What I find odd/amusing is that so much of what he says contradicts himself.

I don't believe in the giant chicken theory because chickens can't make a high giant fire ball.

The globe absolutely begs questions. Begs them.... and yet you seem all fine with the explanations for it because it fits what you believe you see or read or video view...etc.
That's all well and good and obviously it's the set narrative that many follow.

Why would most people?

People see films and are saturated with a colourful spinning ball cartoon in so many films and shows and documentaries. It's in the psyche.

But if anyone dares to step outside of that global comfort zone, the normal couldn't give a flying eff person will immediately jump up and defend it by nothing more than simply calling out the questioner as being a fruitcake or words to that effect.

Because he believes he is. Firstly he's brainwashed and secondly he thinks free thought is just coming up with anything and allowing it the same stature as anything else. So for example he dreams up a free thinking dome out of thing air then puts it on level (well to be honest above) with accepted norms. What he doesn't do is allow for any scrutiny of his free thinking as it's just free thinking, whereas accepted and repeatable norms (science stuff) he proceeds to put at such a high level that no proof is good enough.

When challenged with don't you think there are very smart people out there doing research etc he defaults to they are actually liars or stupid. He's basically so arrogant whilst simultaneously so ignorant.
