A bath full of water is all that's needed to be fair but that's just the tip of the iceberg.
Do you think Neil is mistaken?
Don't take this the wrong way but I'm going to bypass anything you say from this point on. Hopefully you won't be too distraught.
Just throw a flat board in and place a digital spirit level on it for starters. So you can measure the bath is perefectly flat with no curve, not even thousandths of a mm difference? Otherwise how do you know it is flat and level
Aye he does say the Earth is an oblate spheroid. Pear shaped I think he mentioned.Neil DeGraase Tyson (i am assuming that is who you are referring to as i cannot see the embedded item) says the earth is round, you cant pick and choose which bits of science you believe

However you can also go and us a set of water level tubes over a larger distance. Or you can use a lake or even an iced lake/pond.
There's so much can be done and all of it shows level.
However, simple logic is all that's required to know it would never be level on a globe no matter how big the globe is said to be.
Do you think Neil is mistaken?
The level of accuracy is plenty enough to understand that water does not conform to a globe. It''s as simple as that and no amount of experiments will show otherwise.Try it then but on a lake. Then come back and share your answers. That said the first bit is so incredibly wrong it doesnt bode well, that would tell you the board is level to a fairly coarse margin, nothing at all about the water underneath. You also have no clue about the level of accuracy needed.
But it's level on the raised bit of a lemon squeezer. Because of indentations. There's so much can be done and all of it shows level.

No. I think he's correct. You can't see a curve from that height.Do you think he's mistaken?
Yes, the water would be. Because it sits inside indentations. Simple logic. But it's level on the raised bit of a lemon squeezer. Because of indentations.
Simple logic.
the last retort of a defeated man. magic. you need psychiatric help pal.Do you think Neil is mistaken?

No. I think he's correct. You can't see a curve from that height.
Yep.But your reject the majority of his views around the shape of the earth, space flight, make up the the solar system etc.
That makes your argument baseless as he would argue as you went higher you would see the curvature.Yep.
But I agree with what he said about not seeing curvature.
No, it means I agree with what he said about the height he said. That makes your argument baseless as he would argue as you went higher you would see the curvature.
Nope. I'm taking his comments exactly how they should be taken. He is simply talking about what can be seen up to a specific altitude. You are taking his comments entirely out of context to reach a flawed conclusion

Only magical mysteries can make it do what we're told it does. Like fictional gravity but that doesn't even do a decent job.
I'm not worried about proving anything to you. You are welcome to prove it to yourself or don't. I'm easy on it.
Just a nice and simple and basic levelling that can be used in water for level or even building for level and plumb. What level of accuracy would you need to be able to measure to then?
Just a nice and simple and basic levelling that can be used in water for level or even building for level and plumb.
Simple stuff that would fall apart if it was done on a globe.
I'm 100% sure the Earth is not a globe we supposedly walk upon. You don't know if it is a globe but are happy to accept the narrative and I fully understand that.Ok so you have no clue then, big surprise.
