The bigger question is - why the transport difficulties? The rest of Britain manages to run services on NYD.

Some of us will have no choice but to miss it. No thanks to the country's public transport systems.
That’s fine and I understand that ….But a loyalty point won’t change your mind about going to the game tho would it ?

The club knew last year hence the loyalty point offer. It stops a lot of fans from being able to attends

Some have mentioned not being able to have a drink as an hindrance mind.
But that’s upto them isn’t it. I can drive to the game, I just don’t want to as it’s a very different experience having to pick all the lads up, get home past midnight and then if the Mrs is at work she’s without a car. Most people enjoy a drink on New Year’s Day and now you’d have to sit about all day waiting to go and not being able to do that either. Whichever way you look at it, it’s absolutely shite for fans who live out of the area.

Not saying it isnt up to them...but, i can also have my opinion saying it's pretty sad if it is stopping them going to a game cos they cant have a drink like.

Think the club felt the disatisfaction at last years fixture.

Bit of a kick in the bollocks if they then just proceed again.
TV money talks. The club can argue against moving it, but there is very little they can actually do.

Nothing to do with the club, in the efl we probably could have put up a fight but nothing you can do in the premier league

not everything is that straight forward though. some people might enjoy getting the bus/train to the town and having a few pints along the way both before and after.

swapping that with a 2 or 3 hour drive in each direction in the middle of winter, no pints, hassle with parking and traffic etc.. you can see how some people might be swayed
Drink is a serious problem isnt it. No wonder the NHS is fucked

nobody is saying that though

pints, shouldn't even need to enter the conversation, in my opinion. Yet it is THE conversation for a lot of people. Rightly or wrongly.
