Ackermann playing absolutely quality here. What a great signing he will be.

Jones nearly caught at deep cover after smashing the ball back at bowler. Bowler puts up his arms to protect himself and hits him flush on his elbow and shoots up in air.

Stopped a certain 4 and he's ok to bowl thankfully

Surprised we've not go more comments on this.

Not like it's a pre season friendly were actually competing for silverware!

Parky picks up the first wicket with his third delivery 0-1

Dropped the number 3 twice now.

One was a dolly the other a bit harder but should have been taken.

I've enjoyed it, especially getting a chance to listen to Campbell on comms.
Interesting to hear that they are hoping to develop Jones into a finisher for the white ball stuff.

Aye think someone had said earlier on this thread he was now going to bat 7.

Good move as best to have that Lees/Clark opening partnership and hopefully get Bedders in our team this year as number 3 instead.

Unlikely we will get this team due to T20 World Cup but would like to see this as our team.

Then everyone moves up one if Carse not available and Boland/Potts in instead.

Clark
Lees
Bedingham
Ackermann
Robinson
Carse
Jones
De Leede
Raine
Parkinson
Sowter

He also confirmed that Turner will be back this year as the overseas batsman, so I'm guessing that will be at the expense of Bedingham similar to last season.

We are looking quite strong in the spin department now in the white ball stuff, just missing that death bowler

Urgh I missed that.

Don't get that at all, Ackermann offers what Turner does.

Great win by the lads again. Feel in with a good shout of winning it all.

I was following the game yesterday. To lose 4 early wickets, to be about 65-4 at the halfway point, yet still end up posting 185 was a superb effort. Ackers and Corporal Jones hit a lot of runs in those final 2 or 3 overs. The most notable feature for me, though was the number of two's that we ran in the rebuild phase. We didn't try to slog our way out of trouble, we batted smart.... and we don't usually, so I find that very encouraging

I've seen us collapse in a heap after losing 4 early wickets more times than I care to remember.... I've seen us collapse in a heap in blind panic after making strong starts too, but I can't think of many recoveries like this (perhaps Albie Morkel at OT). I'm not even going to caveat it by mentioning Zimbabwe T20. We've collapsed in a heap against pretty much anyone in the past.

I'm looking at our possible line ups for the Blast later in the year and I'm looking forward to it, for once..... gawd help me!

It's the hope that kills you

Was a great partnership from Ackers and Raine to set the platform.

Indeed I think we've finally got a well balanced team. With batting all the way down rather than relying on one or two players to carry it.

Main thing is certainly 3 spinners that are good at the format.

The spinners will make all the difference. Sowter is as good a T20/Hundred spinner as there is. Feel like it could finally be a good T20 campaign this year.

Got busy with work so missed the first 11 overs.

Were 115/3 from 15 watchable via thew below.

Not sure why the below is in German, shared from Zim Cricket official Facebook
