I'd go to a specialist and identify the problem. Could be anything from a muscle strain to a problem stemming from hip flexors, glutes etc.

Look up SmittyDiesel on YouTube and watch some of their routines for stretching/mobility also.

Defrancos agile 8 is the best I've done. Still do it to this day after I had a load of trouble with my IT band and tightness.

im booked in with Jack from spartan performance for a one on one training/coaching session in april. really looking forward to it.

haway then ya shy or humble bellends, what do you lift at what body weight, extra points for competition lifts.

I've had a hot water bottle on me back for an hour now and its much better, I'm going to see a chiro but how do you get them to understand that just resting for months isn't acceptable:p

ive no idea of my 1rep max

im only little :p 5"8 72kgs

im gonna do a few max effort sessions after ive finished this week of footy, can't go too heavy at the minute as i cant run with DOMS

i did bench 110kg for 3 reps, slightly assisted on the last 2 though, last week so reckon thats pretty much my max at the minute.

40kg on top of that it a hell of a lot of weight like.

I've had to stay lean as I play footy, everytime I get excited and start trying to get big I just can't run, came back from afghan 84kgs but lean, best I've looked but couldn't run for shit !!

Oof no idea mate, been a loooong time since I've done any max work.

Used to do a lot of power-bodybuilding type training for about 2 yrs for putting n size. Went up from about 9.5st to now sitting at around 14st (usually fluctuates between about 13.10-14.4) and am in a transition period of 'sculpting' if you like so my heavy days are usually in the more 3-6 rep range. Am 5'11".

All weight gain was done naturally I might add and was f***ing hard work, took a lot of dedication and a lot of discipline. And also a lot of eating. :)

Deadlift max was 120kg for 3 reps. Got 140 off the floor but couldn't lock out but was exhausted by this time. Squat have never tried for ages, rep anywhere between 70/80kg for warmups and onto about 120kg for lower rep work. Never tried going higher... Yet.

Won't bench due to shoulder issues, tore my SLAP in 2009 and only bench on Smith occasionally. Funnily enough I handle more weight on DB bench presses, probably due to correct technique and comfort allowing me too.

Love to overhead press like. That is the daddy of man lifts. Neither wonder you only see a couple of people doing it in gyms. Always the last lift to progress too.

I wouldn't have a clue either never tried for a max lift.

I'm 5'8 and 67kgs so not very much!

My last best at the big 3 were.

Bench 85kgfor 4 reps
Squat 105kg for 5 reps
Deadlift 140kg for 5 reps

Iv never really trained specifically to get them higher but thinking about giving it a go.

Haven't maxed out any time recently. Need to bring my deadlift up though as it will only be around 180kg (396lbs).

that's still pretty big like for an only lift:lol:

Got plenty of time to bring it up like. Stopped boxing in late August last year at around 160lbs so only been weight training seriously since early September. Not all of that has been spent bulking either. Will have the 200kg dead within a few months :)

Oh I'm 5'11 and 181 atm.

You got the westside book of methods?

I've got a fuck-load of stuff, but given the thread I figured it may be of interest.
