Portsmouth Supporters... Scum

I do, do you not think our club means the same to us? Your club has had a hard time for the last ten years, Sunderland as a region has had a hard time for the last 50 years and more. The club is the glue that binds us together and always has done and that's why we get big crowds. It's our way of sticking two fingers up.

Commendable and it didn't surprise me that your decent supporters got the tosser who hoyed the smoke bomb lifted though.
Mate, I know what your club means to you, it's a religion and breaks up mundane life and makes weekends worthwhile. The Mackems live for their club, like our fans do. I admire the passion that surrounds your club, with true working class roots.

If they hadn't built a Tesco behind the Fratton End we would've had far more scope for expansion. The fact it's there still annoys me to this day, regardless of it's necessity at the time

He lives in Portsmouth
With all due respect pal, there's nothing wrong with living in Pompey, far worse places in the UK and not many with the same heritage :)

Even Brighton had a will and a much more difficult predicament and they managed it.
Kind of. They have a great new stadium, I’ve been a few times and enjoyed it.

But Brighton has never had the same relationship with football as Portsmouth. Most on our island walk to games, with the stadium reachable from all areas. Or, they can use the train station at Fratton.

We could easily build a stadium, like Brighton did, ten miles from anywhere. But I’m not sure taking the club out of Portsmouth would be the right move. But I take the point!

I find it weird when people take offence on behalf of others, if they register on this forum they should be big enough and have skin thick enough not to get upset over a few words.

Bizarre behaviour, that’s all.
But some of your fans seem to get very upset over a few words from some of our lot, and start ranting and raving and swearing at them. All from behind their keyboards, which is pathetic.

Reiver was saying that paddy who you're chatting to lives in pompey.
Tesco are a bunch of . They were fortunately stopped from building a huge mega store in Sunderland in a prime site which would have really set the city back.

My last thread seems to have been locked so I'll start again.

What a horrible scummy set of twats. Hope their shit rank club goes bust.
SKATES

Don't want to be controversial but I'm in north stand, right behind the goal, about 30 rows up, and all I've seen is the one flare. Not saying they aren't arseholes, and I hope the flare thrower is arrested, but that's all I've seen come over so far from one idiot. Might be wrong but nowt like Coventry so far
They had them at Wembley too in the ground. At least ours were in Trafalgar Square!!!

This is my first & only comment on all this stuff.
The keyboard “ranting & raving” is less intimidating & threatening than very many of your lot at Wemberley who were clearly off their heads & out of yr worst estates. How, as a club, you can give tickets to any fucker inc those with banning orders & then take no responsibility is beyond me. I am however unsure if you had better processes for yesterday.

Its actually much less than 5 miles (probably between 3 and 4) and many fans do walk. Its probably about the same distance as the old Goldstone used to be from most of the city centre

Tesco are a bunch of cunts. They were fortunately stopped from building a huge mega store in Sunderland in a prime site which would have really set the city back.
The Tesco site has screwed us, even though the deal states they have to pay the club 'x' amount each season. I believe it was a property developer who helped save the club, then thought it a good idea to do this.

Aye I agree, keeping the stadium in the city centre is far better. So glad we didn't build at the proposed Nissan site back in the day, far better the walk over the bridge than sitting in traffic.

Luckily for Brighton they had a fan, Tony Bloom, with deep pockets owning the club at the time. Still there I believe.
Sure is and I think goes to basically every game, plenty of stories of him at away games as well going for a beer in the away pubs

I chat with Pompey fans every day and it's strange to see they want to hang on to a relic like Fratton Park. A few were moaning about the quality of the beam back on the small screen from 100 yards down the pitch yesterday. We could have a beam back in the bars around the SoL and it would have been seen in better quality/seen by more people in a much more customer friendly enviroment.

And a few Pompey fans will tell us we're the backward Northerners?

Many wanted to stay at Roker Park. Nostalgia and tradition is attractive.

'Probably more so now given the absolute state of football these days with far too much money in the game.

Listen you little obsessed cretin, an element of your support have acted like backward fuckin shithouses at Wembley and up here. Some of of our supporters are rightly fucked off with that behaviour, when this finally sinks into that thick cranium you carry on your shoulders you might understand.

Have you and your fellow clowns really spent your weekend on this forum?
