Pierre Ekwah

Very poor today, there’s a good player in there somewhere.
Should have been replaced, Rigg was far better.
People said that about Sean Thorton, but what they really meant was that there was a player in there with some good attributes. Unfortunately his bad ones cancelled them out.

Problem with Ekwah is he thinks he's made it already, he thinks he's better than he currently is and is willing to have one good game every 10 whilst swanning around like he's complete

He's not, he's got all the right attributes but he needs to work hard. Work harder. Improve his game, work on his weaknesses etc..

So frustrating

He’s an attacking midfielder. Decent going forward, good strike on him. He’s not a holding midfielder. His good games have generally come playing further forward, and his many poorer games this season in the deeper role.

A younger Evans type behind Ekwah and Neil would be a good 3. Although Jobe and Rigg would be conpeting for those spots too.

He’s nearly 18 months into his tenure, you can see a player in there but his lethargic attitude and reluctance to his his weight and size is something that should have been coached into him by now.

He’s soft as shite and often looks like needs a kick up the jacksy.

Good player when he fancies it.
I think he looks a good player when the opposition let us play and he has a bit time to move the ball forward, but doesn't everybody ? The trouble is that we are so one dimensional and everybody knows how to play against us. Most teams will just sit in or press, denying him that time and space so he will just turn backwards or play it square.

Wants to sit in front of the back 4 and spray the ball about so he hasn't got to do as much running further up the pitch where he's much more effective. Obsessed with little one-two's in tight areas and 'punching' it through the lines instead of just keeping the ball

There's a player in there but he needs his hand held by an experienced, quality holding midfielder.
The addition of a quality CM is vital to this team and even if Dan Neil is still around next season for his progression.
