Did one of these types
of things on a “ management course “ sometime back.

Once the results were out some people actually started to reinforce their “ characteristics “ throughout the course . Playing the part so to speak.

Bizzare , mildly amusing and totally f***ing weird.

You cannot build teams using psychometrics - it does not work.

Its an indicator but in practice it needs more than a questionnaire

Funnily enough , or perhaps not , colleagues who excelled on such courses , were actually pretty f***ing useless in the actual work environment.

In one!

Correct - people react to others around you and this whole area is much too simplified. An dominant activist alpha type will behave differently when along side a more extreme version of themselves.

I have seen the most slapdash people in the world become total detail freaks when paired with a "have a go who cares" hero.

And also, ideas people play up to the role they have been allocated - not always the best idea. Sometimes they have nothing to offer but get stuck in the role and other people drop back and defer to them.

We are incredible people - hugely innovative and adaptable. Don't pigeon hole people untill their attributes have been properly tested.
