People who don't care about England

I like England and try and watch them at least once a year.
However when they play it becomes apparent to me that I'm not as passionate about them as sunderland

I get more worked up before/during and after mid season sunderland games against teams like Stoke than I do watching England play in a World Cup.

It's just the way it is. I'd love England to win the World Cup, but when they lost last night, though disappointed , I wasn't depressed like I am after seeing sunderland lose again.....
 

I couldn't be less interested in England. In fact I only watch Sunderland (avidly). Don't watch any other Premier League matches, any international or European games - just Sunderland. Stopped watching England after Euro 2000. When they start picking players based on merit, not which club you play for, that might change.

I think, like many, I have lost a huge amount of interest in football in general. Still love Sunderland and always will, but not the game in general.
 
I reckon 90% of those who say they don't give a fuck are total bulshitters.
If we had got on some sort of run and made say the semi finals you wouldn't get a single dissenter on here . Everyone would be absolutely buzzing and driving round with their England flags.

Once a year? This must be where I'm going wrong then, I watch every England game, even the friendlies. Every England defeat in every competitive tournament I have watched, including the defeat by Croatia when we didn't qualify for Euro 2008, has hurt me just as much as any Sunderland defeat. But again I have no issues with club v country, I support them both exactly the same. f***ing hate seeing either of them lose

It's very fashionable at the moment, but they're all full of shit.
 
Each to there own and that, I'll never stop supporting them and going to watch them.

Unfortunately we've been dealt a shit hand as both teams we support are for the most part poor, just the way it is though.

Hopefully one day we'll have summit to shout about.

This. We are certainly an unfortunate few us Sunderland/England lot.
 
I spend my emotional quota following Sunderland, I use to love England but the way it's run now makes me sick and puts me off. I still want us to do something but it won't be a whole lot to me even if we won it I'd be happy but nowt like I'd be eve for Sunderland winning a tin pot cup like the league cup.

It's f***ing class man, what's made us mackems who we are. When we do finally manage some silverware it's gonna be immense!

I've never stopped loving the England team, football plays a massive massive part in my life, and Sunderland and England are the only two teams for me.

We are out but we'll be back, I can't wait for the qualifiers to start for France. I'll definitely be going this time, was supposed to go to the WC until the missus decided to get pregnant...

France will be class, we'll invade the place.

It's nothing to do with winning, style of football or having SAFC players in there, it just does absolutely nowt for me. That goes for international football generally - I've only watched 45 minutes of this World Cup and that was the Spain-Holland match whilst I happened to be in a pub.
 
have more interest in England rugby team and England cricket team than i do England football team. don't know if that says more about modern football or the fact the England football team just pisses me off.

As far as I'm concerned England and the fa don't give a shite about us up north, I'll stick following Sunderland thanks .
