People who don't care about England

Where did I say it wasn't? But assuming everyone on this board is here for Sunderland AFC and not the English national team what does the OP expect.....

You're Irish, and you assumed wrong. It's the closed season, I'll say it again, Sunderland is in England..... the World Cup is on, and you want people to discuss that somewhere else? Get fucked.

Missing my point totally! Where did I say the World Cup shouldn't be discussed on here  The OP said anyone who doesn't give a fuck about England can fuck off? This isn't an English supporters forum...........

Patriotism and pride?

The players present and past (Terry et al) bring shame to the nation with their ability and/or general behaviour in life. I'm not proud of them one bit
That's individuals you are talking about there not England. Not liking one tiny part of a nation is fine but somewhat pathetic if you then despise everything England because of them.
When you said past and present how far past were you going? Back before 1966? Overall a pretty daft post there yet you got likes . Ah well, goons prevail.

It wasn't, Hank.

I don't agree with the way you see it. The fact that we have people in this country of different 'colour' does not dilute England at all. Tolerance is an English value and a principle which has helped make us what we are.

From my personal point of view, I fell out with England the football team when it started to become commercialised. Gascoigne, the f***ing idiot, crying and wearing a pair of plastic tits and all the daft idiots with no interest in football suddenly latched onto it. I loved England, the team, in the '80s, because it was a genuine then rather than fashionable. In those days, football fans were scorned as opposed to today when every idiot and his dog has an opinion on the game and matches on a Saturday. The commercialisation of the game killed England the team and to an extent league football, not multi-Culturalism - in my opinion.

Everything's Germanic if you want to take things back to the start.

But, actually, our language is a mixture of French and Old Norse. French and English ran alongside one another after the Norman conquest, so we have two words in our language which mean the same thing, for example: chance is French; luck is Old Norse.

The Germanic tribes migrated everywhere so you could say that everyone in Central and Western Europe is Germanic speaking a Germanic language, but that's not really what you meant and you were wrong. Our language as we know it is as much French and Old Norse as German.

Strictly speaking 2 thirds of English is derived from Greek and Latin.

Where's your sense of patriotism and pride? The history of England as a nation is immense, something to be proud of. Just because we don't win, play shit football or the manager doesn't pick the players you want, you say you lose interest? Still fuming over last nights results and seeing people on here not bothered is ridiculous tbh. Sunderland never win anything either but we still watch and support them every week no matter what!!!! What's the difference you miserable bastards?

To the people you don't care I have two words ... Fuck off

Not read all of your post, not read the responses, but I doubt very much that I am the first one to tell you to fuck off.

I couldn't be less interested in England. In fact I only watch Sunderland (avidly). Don't watch any other Premier League matches, any international or European games - just Sunderland. Stopped watching England after Euro 2000. When they start picking players based on merit, not which club you play for, that might change.

I think, like many, I have lost a huge amount of interest in football in general. Still love Sunderland and always will, but not the game in general.
I think you might be me.

You just have to look at the contempt shown to SuperKev at the time, I think that's when I lost any real affection for the national team, things that have happened since have just proved me right.
I think the SKP/Micky Gray game was the last one I watched.

You are correct in your assumptions
