People were wrong about Short ...

We're owed 35m less than we owe. About as balanced as mini me and Gemma Collins on a seesaw.

Lurching from manager to manager without a clear strategy. Employing charlatans.

But we'll definitely sell players like Khazri, Kone, Djilibodji, etc.

Rather not if it's all the same to you mate

We've all had years of totally demoralising shite and we've surely had enough.

That's why I can't be arsed with people desperately claiming Short has left booby traps in the boardroom and mines under the pitch.

FFS, let's just accept the bloke has fired a screamer over our defensive wall and into the top corner before we blinked.

No one expected that ... not the media, not all the ITK's in the world and certainly not the supporters.

He's made us all look a bit daft, in a way, and some people can't laugh at it .... they just become indignant and accuse him of more thieving treachery.

People have been accusing him of stealing the TV/Henderson/Pickford money whereas the truth is that he's been pumping money in.

He's like a hapless burglar who's broken in, blundered around breaking all our ornaments but dropped his wallet as he escaped.

He's had the last laugh mate and I'd rather laugh along with him.

He may have caused some damage but we can claim on the insurance, tidy the place up and give it a lick of paint ;)
What a lot of it boils down to on here is that some people can’t deal with being wrong. Not just about this, but about most things.

Yep. Rather than admit it they ddi a bigger hole resulting in 32 pages of nonsense.

It's a reasoned discussion between adults putting forward their opinions on a particular issue ....

..... nothing you'd understand tbh.
It wasn't about this thread to be honest. It was just a response to the comment which generally rings true.
You're very defensive. Not everything is a personal attack you know.

He employed some jokers in non football roles, but most of his managers seemed good choices at the time. He tried, but failed, to implement a DoF strategy.

The ripped it up and started again a year later with another dof. Then ripped it up and started again ......

Tbf, he tried with a Dof, and without. I would hardly class that as repeating the same mistakes. Obviously he didn't have a clue what would work, but he tried different things. Old hand managers who should have done better and up and coming managers who were a bit of a gamble.

He made mistakes without a doubt, but again I wouldn't class it as repeating the same mistakes - unless of course, people think sacking the manager was the mistake he kept repeating? If so then I refer you to our relegation from the premier league which was the only time he didn't sack the manager.

I would class jumping from one short term solution to another short term solution as repeating the same mistakes, especially as they seem to be a lack of long term planning.

Mind hiring an American, Psychology and R.E. graduate as assistant director football and keeping him employed in important roles within the club is up there with one of the more bizarre decisions. No idea what he was thinking with that

You're spot on with that mate.

The trouble is that hindsight and foresight are often in the same disguise ...

.... it's not until the mask comes off until we know if it's good or bad.

Was it foresight to employ di Canio who saved us but, in hindsight, a terrible error?

Same goes for Moyes who many supporters had often wished for when he had Everton over performing year after year.

Advocat was 'world class' and saved us but was a disaster in hindsight.

We just have to pray the new people make more good decisions than bad.

Does this thread have 32 pages? It was a response to a general point about people not admitting they are wrong that was made in this thread.
Of course you'll not admit you're wrong.

Of course you'll not admit you're wrong.

No idea, in fact I've no idea why you're on here.

As you've contributed nothing to the subject of the thread I'll have to ignore your pronouncements on Sunderland posters.

Not being rude, it's just none of your business.

If you don't want to read pages of nonsense just log off
