Pea Coat?

Anyone wear one?I am pondering getting one,any recommendations?
Visible labels are vulgar. It also fastens the womens' way which might feel strange to fasten. For £350 you can buy a full length overcoat and have warm upper legs too. Does it come with the free janitor chain?

I have one I bought at Tescos for £20, wore it the other day for the first time in years.
Might have to leave it in the cupboard if they're "in fashion".

I wear a Bridge coat from Private White, almost the same, however they also do Pea Coats. Top notch clothing, made in Manchester.

I have a Burberry peacoat, goes well with Jeans or casual Colton trousers.
Wouldn't wear it with mire formal clothing though, peacoats are not a "dressy" item, that's more Crombie type/trench coat territory.

GET THE PROPER COAT. From Silverman’s

Or get the leather one for a grand. I’ve used Silvermans a bit, they are good.

Why is that "the proper coat'? - it was invented by the Dutch and popularised by the Royal Navy long before the Americans latched onto it.
