Pay Rise

Been here for 4 years almost, never had a pay rise. But that will have to change soon, otherwise i'll be off. More responsibility, more work and new qualifications means i should get a significant rise (hopefully)

Likely nowt. Personal allowance going up to cover the council tax rise.

Great isn’t it.

Band A property in my LA goes up by about £50-£55.

Personal allowance gives me an extra £101 a year, CT rise wipes half of that out right away. Add on the 1% pay rise that is less than inflation and that’s a real-terms pay cut :D

Never got a pay rise at any point at my last job, didn't even know it was a thing.

Moved jobs, 21% pay rise.

I’ve only had rises through moving or the NMW increasing

I'm quite suprised we getting 3%, was expecting 1-2..... to be fair though if year after year you are not getting a pay rise then basically you are getting a pay cut each year due to inflation increasing the cost of goods year on year
