Patto

At this stage of the season we shouldn’t be having a conversation about our keeper, but here we are and it’s nearly every week.

clueless

Clueless
Your clueless fella. His distribution with both his weak and strong side is generally poor. Add in he likes lines more than a Colombian drug cartel as in he won’t come off his line, he’s also a greggs away from not fitting into his jersey so yeah other than that he’s class. Clueless haha

I thought he looked good last night (his kicking aside) and there’s always fault picking and over reaction when we lose a game.

Leeds first goal was a superb delivery and I’ve watched it again and can’t see where Patterson was at fault. The second goal if there’s fault it’s certainly not Patterson alone that any fingers should be pointed at. Salis gets nowhere near enough distance on his header from the original ball in, then Le Fee fails to stop their player coasting passed him to fire in the second cross. Patterson misses the ball but who was marking the player that gets his head on it ?

Could have done better for the 2nd but I’m placing no blame on any players last night. Manager completely at fault for not changing things sooner. Time and time again.

I mean anyone having a go at him should be careful what they wish for. The lad is class and has saved us so many times this season.
He isn’t class at all. He’s really average. He’s a good shot stopper but the rest of his game is lacking. Weakest link in the team for me and the position we need to improve on first and foremost if we ever want to get into and then stay in the PL.

Agreed. He just isn’t at the level we need. Mind, he is not the only one as there are a couple of others who are just not going to get us where we could have been this season. Would love to be proved wrong but can’t see it happening.

All Le Fee had to do is show that bloke down the line. He cut back and changed the angle of the cross so it dropped into a difficult zone for Patterson. Le Fee was knackered and should have been hooked before that so that's on Regis.

I agree there are others too. But GK really is one of the most important positions on the pitch, even more so these days the way the game is played. You can carry players in some positions to a certain extent but you have to have a goalkeeper that is of the level you want to be at. We currently, in my opinion, have a goalkeeper who’s ceiling is right about where we are now and that’s not where any of us want to be.

Crazy statement
Interestingly he was the only player my non-safc associates picked out for criticism for either goal (the winner). They couldn’t believe he’d missed the punch
Really good cross though and what about the earlier cross he cut out or the save he made

Pickford must be bricking it at the future England international breathing down his neck

He’s just an ok bog standard championship keeper nothing more
