In 95, Peter Reid had the bottle to decide Alec Chamberlain wasn't up too it and replaced him with a young lad who was outstanding in us winning the league. Footballs a completely different game now, but I think maybe a GK change for the better, both in area dominance and footwork could have been made in Jan.
Chamberlain came back in to replace given

Played well solid as a rock for 94 minutes. Caught everything catchable, saved everything savable. No keeper on earth saves the first with the ball hit at that pace and trajectory. Could have got something on the second tbf.
It was a long high, looping ball into the 6 yard box for their first goal - that should have been his ball.

The lad desperately needs some competition for his place.

He knows he’s going to play every week so where’s the immediate incentive to improve? I’m also starting to notice he’s put some timber on.

The less said about his distribution the better.

Excellent shot-stopper but could be so much better.

Basics. His Distribution is bang average. If he cant improve it then shift it another 30 yards up the pitch when he boots it out of play. Easy done, get the wide men 20 yards further up and jumping for the inevitable kick to touch. 2 keeper coaches on the books now, surely an improvement to come.

1st goal inside the 6 yard box with him rooted to his line - how was he planning go save the header at that close range?
2nd goal, hes tried to punch the ball away apparently and completely missed it, whys he not coming out and tried to claim the ball to kill the game?
