Patrick Roberts to Birmingham compendium


It’s a funny one with Roberts. He could be brilliant and frustrating in the space of a minute. Overall though, I’d say his time here has been a success and I wish him well.

If he could finish, he’d never have been anywhere near Sunderland. He gets himself into great positions and can beat a man with ease, but his finishing has always held him back, that’s probably what’s defined the level he's has been playing at and the prem is just a step too far.
 
Worth having him just for the equaliser in the playoff final superb pass. Though overall disappointing great touch and dribbling just not enough goals and assists.
 
His agent has done him a great job finding Patrick a good championship team.
He came across well on the STID part 2.
 
The little connections between him and Amad were a joke really weren't they. Taking the piss out of defenders for the pure enjoyment of it.

Hes inconsistent and frustrating but hes definitely got bums off seats and given us some class moments.

If you can't enjoy a player like Roberts or recognise his contribution here, amongst all of the shitheads and useless bastardswe had before he came then I don't think supporting Sunderland is for you.
