Patrick Roberts to Birmingham compendium

I think its premature to think he can't do a job in the PL so I'm surprised at this.
I like him but nothing in his time here in the championship shows he can do it in the premier league. The fact the club are allowing him to leave to get game time shows they feel the same.

Is rather keep Roberts but if he's going and Birmingham are in for him we'd better do what ever other club does and rinse every last penny out of them.

By the standard of prices they pay he's at least a £20m player!

Good luck to the lad. Probably the best outcome for both parties. He had nothing to offer us in the Premier League in all honesty.

While I don't think he's good enough for the PL, I would really hope we've got a winger on the way if Roberts is off. What options will we even have at RW come AFCON, an out-of-position Chris Rigg and...? Poveda?

Wouldn't be surprised if we don't immediately replace.

Not saying I agree, but Brobbey allows us to use Mayenda and Isidor as wide options, as well as striker, plus Mundle fit soonish.

We are short of wingers so be suprised if this happened , unless good money on a sale, and we bring another in at least one ourselves

Surprised a fair few seem upset about this. His end product has never really been good enough overall.

Excellent pass for Mayenda in the final though.

Wish him nothing but the best but is not prem quality. Another winger coming in will be spot on.

Decent tracking back to help Hume, decent at getting us forward quickly in transition, but no end product in the main (certainly more recently) and too lightweight for the FAPL....imo

I'll always remember the 2 goals away to Reading in that great 3-0 win and the cameos with Amad, but it's time to say goodbye....if indeed he goes ...

Personally I’d have kept him at least until January but wishing him the very best. Tricky player, little end product but a great lad. Met him twice and always made time for the fans
