I’m doing London on Sunday but took part in Blyth last weekend.

It’s a very fastcourse. I ran just over 19 minutes which is easily my PB.

Might try that next week. Thought a sub20 was beyond me these days but clocked 20:10 at Whitley bay this morning so may be worth one last try on a fast course

Cracking time as whitley is not the easiest. I quite like the new route there

I did Blyth yesterday and got a 5k pb. As someone mentioned its very flat and has no hills.

Hartlepool Parkrun this morning, went off with the 24 minute pacer and felt reasonably comfortable until I hit the turn, turned into 40mph headwind with rain and hailstones for good measure. Finished in 25:05. Last run in anger before the Sunderland 10k next week.

Will have to give Blyth a go. That will impact Newbiggin numbers.
  6. Brutal. I set off with the 22min pacer but the wheels came off that as soon as I went round the turnpoint & ended up being overtaken by the 24min pacer.

The 24 minute pacer ran spot on even pace but the turn killed me. The other two that were with me then completely fell to bits but it was a really long slog back.

Over 500 runners down at Chester-le-street this morning. Knocked out a 20:53 so definitely scope for a pb seeing as I had a late night and not been doing much recently. Lovely morning for it narl.

The one in sunderlands much harder now the last half a mile is uphill. Kills me.

It doesn't get any easier the more you do it either.
