Cars with odd years reg 17/67 allowed in supermarket car parks one day, even reg 18/68 the next. Won't completely solve but might help.
I reckon there's a lot of people these days who don't do the weekly shop. There's a hell of a lot of folk who live on takeaways and MacDonald's. I've just been down the shop at the bottom of the street with the bairn and they have pretty much everything apart from netty roll.Same here really , I think what we’re seeing is people who usually only have a day or so worth of food who might eat at work etc suddenly doing a big shop. Things like toilet roll , baby milk and nappies people will inevitably stock up on as they’re essentials. Huge swathes of society advised to social distance for 12 weeks too adds to the desire to stock up
I would get him to play his free self isolating card.I've offered that but he starts work at 6am and can't get there from here at that time of the morning. His flat is 5 mins walk from work.

Good luck, hope you get sorted. Our limited food stock is diminishing rapidly. For the last 10 days or so we have isolated ourselves away as we are both in the vunrable class (Im 65 with COPD & Asthma & our lass (no) is a Insulin dependant Diabetic). But we need to venture out and re-stock. We are going to take advantage of Sainsburies policy of 8-9 pm opening for the elderly and vulnerable. Thankfully, Go North East now allow us to use our bus passes before 9.30 so we are will see how it goes this coming Monday.
Hope it all goes off and stinks the house outBloke boasting to me yesterday that he had put contents of his kitchen in spare bedroom and then refilled kitchen from supermarket so had two rooms worth of food.
Durham Arnison Centre this morning was exactly the same. Huge queues outside M&S and like Christmas Eve morning at Sainsbury’s.
Blokes jostling for slabs of lager!
Utter madness.
At this rate if the government really want to clamp down on social gatherings the supermarkets should be next. Not sure how they’d do it but it’s farcical closing cafes and then having hundreds of people in close proximity jostling with each other for the last few cans of beer / loaf of bread.
Stay safe mate, all the best.Good luck, hope you get sorted.
f***ing hellWent to lidl to do my weekly shop as i always do every Saturday morning about 8:15. People were leaping out of their cars and actually sprinting into the shop like they were on f***ing supermarket sweep or something
