Tuffers would have figures just behind Swann if he played now imoI’m on your side re Leach in that he’s as good as we have got but some of those bowlers would have appreciably better figures if Drs had been available. There were series abroad where Tufnell and Emburey didn’t get a single LBW it was a joke.
I agree. For left arm spinners batsmen could just rock forward bat alongside pad and they would never get an LBW. DRS not only gives loads of LBWs but opens up other modes of dismissal with batsmen having to bat differently. Abdul Qadir as a leggie would have been one of the biggest wicket takers of all time I reckon.Tuffers would have figures just behind Swann if he played now imo
And then it works the other way for batters too, say KP for example would have probably averaged 55+ due to the stride he used to get in.I agree. Seems silly when it produced on of the most exciting tests ever
It was England that produced one of the most exciting test ever, not the pitch.Seems silly when it produced on of the most exciting tests ever
Aye that is in tufnells bookIt was when Tufnell was there in the 90s. In fact at one stage after a huge appeal Daryl Harper the Aussie umpire said to him ‘shut up you Pommie bastard’
