Yup, he played well but they arguable should have been given a penalty for his stupid grapple in the box.MOTM at Leeds aswell![]()
Suppose would you rather play a bit part in the prem or every week in the championship.Normally would agree but he has been here years and is settled his kids are already sorted for schools .He will get loads of game time because of his versatility.Every manager we have had praises him for influence around the club ,think he will get a job when he hangs his boots up.
He has a young family and has seemingly embraced being in the area as wholeheartedly as he plays his football. It's refreshing to see a player genuinely connect with the area and I hope he sees out his playing days here.I think this is the case and it genuinely surprises me. I get he loves it here but he's a footballer and he's still young enough to be playing regularly somewhere. I'd like to think there'll be a place for him at the club after his playing days so he can always come back
I get all that and the emotional attachment but being a footballer is a short career and he is still young enough to go and play regularly at a good level.. genuinely surprises me that he's happy to be a bit part player. He has a young family and has seemingly embraced being in the area as wholeheartedly as he plays his football. Which was ridiculous if we're being honest. Alderete was absolutely superb that night and was the best player on the pitch by a mile. O'Nien still played well mindMOTM at Leeds aswell![]()
Maybe he just doesn't have the ego that other players do, he is content of being part of something bigger than himself and leaving a legacy at a place he calls home.I get all that and the emotional attachment but being a footballer is a short career and he is still young enough to go and play regularly at a good level.. genuinely surprises me that he's happy to be a bit part player.

It's not an ego, haway man. Players want to play. He will always have his legacy here and deservedly soMaybe he just doesn't have the ego that other players do, he is content of being part of something bigger than himself and leaving a legacy at a place he calls home.

He'd be better in Europe too, not as many large CFs and he can play out from the backThat’s a good point, we wouldn’t be able to play our full strength team very often in the Europa or Conference Leagues
Aye he is never leaving here is he,classWatched above last night. Great vid
Think the Leeds thing is irrelevant. If they decide that's a penalty, they'd have to start giving us 2-3 pens a game for offences vs Ballard and Brobbey. We never get them, not arsed they didn't either.
And as I said, visitors is a clear pressure one off we'll never see again now it's happened.
