O'Nien

But he's fit now and shown he can play so don't see that as an issue. Newcastle error has happened and is behind him now, he's not going to do that against anyone else again, that was the biggest game of his life.

Everton, Leeds, Newcastle except 1 slip, he was brilliant.
Man City - Red card
Leeds - headlock
Visitors - goal

You cannot dress it up.

Think the Leeds thing is irrelevant. If they decide that's a penalty, they'd have to start giving us 2-3 pens a game for offences vs Ballard and Brobbey. We never get them, not arsed they didn't either.
And as I said, visitors is a clear pressure one off we'll never see again now it's happened.

With VAR he is a penalty waiting to happen.

It was a stonewall penalty. He doesn’t even try to hide his wrestling pf opponents due to his lack of physicality.

The problem is though, most footballers in their declining years want to play, not sit on the bench.
Think he would have plenty opportunities over the course of a season to get game time mind. If he comes in and has a good game then it's up to him to maintain that level to keep his place. If his level drops then the next guy comes in for his chance to keep the shirt. Unless he expresses he's unhappy with the role he's got I personally think we would be daft to let him go.
Not dismissing your opinion mate as to certain extent agree with what your saying. Just think if we were talking about some other player of similar ability to O'Nein I'd probably fully agree with you but for me his role and influence off the pitch makes it a no brainer to keep him around as long as he still has the positive effect he does off the pitch. 👍

Can’t see 09 being here in the summer and probably another 15 players will join him going out of the door
09 will never leave us and knows he will be filling in where needed. As for the huge list of players hidden allover europe,we will have to just pay their contracts up.Nobody is gonna give us money for them, wonder if some of these were KS signings and the reason for his p45

I think this is the case and it genuinely surprises me. I get he loves it here but he's a footballer and he's still young enough to be playing regularly somewhere. I'd like to think there'll be a place for him at the club after his playing days so he can always come back

He starts every league stage Conference League game if we did actually manage to qualify for it.

He could even get a European goal for us if we play one of the bottom sides

Normally would agree but he has been here years and is settled his kids are already sorted for schools .He will get loads of game time because of his versatility.Every manager we have had praises him for influence around the club ,think he will get a job when he hangs his boots up.
